Super Bowl Viewing

On previous posts people have suggested where to watch Super Bowl......We are teeing off at golf course (Osprey) at 12:15 pm so we will have very little lee way between finishing 18 holes and getting somewhere to watch game.....This obviously rules out ESPN bar or All Star Sports.........We are staying at POR and was wondering if anyone knows if that resort does anything special for game (having been there for Super Bowl previous years or has solid knowledge about this year) and any other suggestion for place to watch game with little advance time...........Obviously our room is a possibility but always find it more fun to watch Super Bowl with a group of people...............Thanks in advance for any help you can offer.............

Usually each resort does something for the Super Bowl. I haven't stayed at POR, but they'll probably have some big screen TVS set up in the food court and/or bar areas. In the past, they've also have food and beer specials during the game (ie chili dogs, buckets of beer, etc.)

We were at POR last year during a basketball championship game(don't know which) anyway they did have a big screen tv in the bar.

we watched the last game of the world series from the POR bar this past year and it was a good location with a lot of fun. The only thing I would suggest is to check and see if Bob Jackson will be playing that night. Although he's fun, it's very loud and there's a lot of participation which can make for a very festive albeit distracting atmosphere. So if you really want to listen to the game and focus, I wouldn't recommend doing so at POR if Bob Jackson is indeed there that night (or if raucous, family-oriented singalongs aren't your thing). But if you're just the casual game watcher, and don't mind what I mentioned, go for it!
