Super Bowl parade today at DL--tips please?

First my team wins the Super Bowl, then I find out Peyton will be here today!! Pure luck our vacation was planned for this time and I'm beyond excited!! Anyone been to one of these parades? Tips for me? How early to stake my spot?

Ask the CMs what time the parade starts and then when you see people start to take the benches, stake a spot on the curb within a half hour. For the Rose Bowl teams, people wait all day. But today they've announced a small ceremony for DCA's 15th anniversary. On the one hand people who know about it will start there at 9am. On the other hand, it might not draw a huge crowd, but many will hang around for the Super Bowl parade if it's not too much later.

Here now. I've been in the bag check line on Harbor for about a half hour. I've moved 20 and the line behind me will reach Harbor in a few minutes. New plan, Get whatever parade spot is left as soon as possible.

Still plenty of room on the bridge beside castle. They are doing the scanners which could be some of the extra wait at bag check.

When we saw it at wdw a few years back it did not start on time, be patient and enjoy

DisneylandToday posted a picture on Twitter. They did the regular marching band parade at 12:15, and a lot of people thought that was the start of the parade. It was actually a little shorter than I've seen it before, just one song performed at the train station. The actual procession passed the hub around 12:50-12:55. There was music, but by the time the float got to us we couldn't hear it over the screaming. There were cameras at the end of Main St filming. There was a single float decorated with some Broncos stuff on the bottom. Peyton, his kids and the Fab 5 were on it. It followed the regular parade route towards Main St. Unlike most parades people sitting on the curb stood up as it passed and then lots of people rushed the street to follow the float. Since it was just the float and no street performers I think most people could still see. The whole thing was done and the route cleared by 1:10. And then the front part of the park cleared. Also, as he was coming down Main St they accidentally played an announcement about Fantasmic, which was funny, but confused a lot of people. I think the TV cameras probably got it.
