I will be in Disney World for the Super Bowl (Sunday, Feb. 7), and wonder if anyone else has been there during that time and how Super Bowl Sunday affects the park attendance? Would think attendance would be light (we are planning on going to Magic Kingdom that day). Also, where is a good place to watch the game? All I can think of is ESPN Zone and I'm sure you will have to get there early to get a seat. Any other places to watch? Assume no dining places in the parks have televisions?

There are no televisions available inside the parks.

Resort lounges and some DTD restaurants (in their lounge areas) will have TVs. I remember watching football at the Boathouse in the dockside bar.

Honestly,WDW gets so many international guests that I don't know that the super bowl will make a huge difference crowds wise. I could be totally off, but I wouldn't rely on it having much smaller crowds than the average day.

It has no impacts on park attendance. I did share couch space around a tv while waiting for our Ohana reservation with a bunch of patriot fans while proudly wearing my NY Giants gear during our trip in 2012. :rolleyes1

Did they deflate the couch?

We were there in 2010 for Colts and Saints. I actually think that the parks were heavy Sunday and Monday because Drew Brees came for the parade - there were lots of Saints fans around over the weekend.

We watched the second half of the game on a big screen outside of ESPN Zone. If you'll recall, the Saints were trailing and looking rough the first half but their fans still packed the bar (and were ultimately rewarded!).

Didn't have much effect on crowds , when at that time we visited During Super Bowl 3 years ago .

I doubt all that many Disney visitors would stay away from the parks because of the Super Bowl. Maybe 1% less than any other Sunday?

we were there one year for Super Bowl and watched it in our room.
