Super 8 Motel

We stayed there once and walked to the main entrance. It's a little far too walk (for us who are used to the Hojo). The second day we got lazy and drove to the parking structure.

The rooms were nice and big for a Motel 6. It was recently renovated. We would stay there again.

I stayed there last year around this time and was pleasantly surprised. It was cool enough in the morning and night when we were walking to and from the park that the walk wasn't bad at all. Garden Walk is super close to the ex-dgf and I had dinner at the Cheesecake Factory one night, there are plenty of other restaurants in Garden Walk. The room itself was roomy, clean, plenty nice for two college students. The breakfast is a little weak, but you can make a stop at 7-11 to grab something on the way to the park. The biggest downside to me was the lack of refrigerator in the room. The ex-dgf and I both had leftovers from dinner and were forced to eat what we could and discard the rest.

We stayed there in August. Room was fine, nothing special, but clean (short showerhead, outside sink). The free breakfast was muffins bread/toast and jelly, cereal and juice. It gave my girls some milk and fruit loops and I got a few extra pieces of bread for their PBJ sammies for later. The walk was long. I was concerned about DD6 b/c of the length of it, so I brought the double stroller. I got so sore! The neighborhood had also started to get a seedy feeling to it (especially by the bus stop we passed along the way). We probably won't be doing the Super 8 again b/c of the walk, unless we decide to try ART.

Thanks..yes, all i want is cheap and clean..all i need is to sleep and shower...the remainder of the time i will be out and about..

I will have a vehicle so the length of the walk is not an issue...how was the parking at the motel???

I loved the parking there. The first night (about 11:30 on a Saturday night) when we arrived, we got a spot directly in front of our room. We went out for dinner with some local friends on Monday evening, and returned to find our spot taken - but the one next to it was empty! I've never been able to park so close to my room at a motel before.

From what I've heard, you may spend more time trying to get into the lot, park, and then catch the tram to Disneyland than it would take to walk it. Plus, parking is about $15/day at Disneyland. If you don't want to walk, I would look into getting an ART pass instead. I thought about it for our last trip... I think getawaytoday had them pretty cheap. I believe it would have been $12 for a 5-day pass for me and both my girls.

Thanks..was looking at websites of the hotels directly across from dland and they say parking is limited(and may even have to park at a remote lot, and they charge 10.00 a day to park).
