Sunwing question...

Can anyone who has recently flown Sunwing from Toronto or Ottawa to Orlando tell me if this airline pre-clears U.S. Customs before leaving Canada?

If you are going to the U.S., you clear customs in Toronto.

For other destinations, you clear customs in that country.

Same thing if you're flying out of Ottawa:

"All passengers leaving Ottawa on a direct flight to the United States clear U.S. Customs in Ottawa prior to boarding their flight."​

this is only if customs is open! We discovered that the last time we went to FL. Customs closed in Edmonton at 7pm we had a midnight flight and had to clear customs at MCO
