I booked round trip airport/port transfers for my 9/9 Magic cruise. They didn't show, for either pick up!!! After waiting right in front of the driver meeting area for an hour at the airport, I spent $10 to turn on my phone to call them. They said driver was there and I wasn't. LIE! I was told I no longer had a driver and was on my own. I asked about return and asked if they were going to strand me then too, I was told they would be there. I stressed my tight schedule on return, and that my pickup time was very important. Fast forward a week, off the ship and standing within five feet of driver pickup sign at 7:25 for my 7:45 pick up. At 7:50 still no sign of driver, so we quickly hopped in a cab and no issues getting to airport.
I detaied this much more completely in an email to them, including a time stamped receipt from coffee shop at driver meet area in airport and a time stamped photo of myself with driver meet sign at port. They refused a refund, telling me they were at the airport and I wasn't and they were at the port after 8 for my 7:45 pickup. These guys are flat out frauds.
Thankfully my credit card company (Citi rocks!) saw things my way, and resolved my dispute within 4 hours. Don't put up with being taken advantage of, credit card companies can flex their muscles when you've truly been ripped off.
Take a cab in Barcelona, super easy and fast. This service is a ridiculous joke. Such a frustrating and disappointing bookend to a wonderful cruise.

Sorry you had that experience. We used a private company, don't know the name as my friend booked it but they met us at the airport and took us to our hotel and then again were very prompt picking us up at our hotel to go back to airport. We were on land based trip, not cruise. We also used Barcelona Day Tours for a half day trip to Montserrat and they were fantastic!!!

Sorry about to hear about your experience. On my multiple trips to Barcelona I take the Aerobus - express bus service from the airport to the city centre (which is near La Rambla Street). It takes about 30 minutes and runs every 12/15 minutes with a cost of 5.90 euros. Probably not too convenient if you are travelling with a large group, have kids or a lot of luggage, however its something I think everyone should consider if you are staying at a hotel near the city centre.

Sorry to hear of your experience. We've used suntransfers both times we have cruised from Barcelona. Our first pick up at BCN to the hotel wasn't great. The car was scruffy and the driver wasn't as careful a driver as I would have liked! However the return trip after the cruise was fine, which is why I booked them again for our next med cruise. I did email then after we returned home and they apologised. Personally I wouldn't hesitate using them again, but I can understand OP's frustrations.

As others have said, transfer companies really aren't necessary in Barcelona. Taxis are plentiful both at the airport and at the port.

We used DCL transportation for all of our eight cruises. In Barcelona they picked us (wife & me) up at the airport two days before cruise in a Mercedes and were driven to hotel. Did not ask for special treatment, just the way it worked out. This was the front end of a B2B Med./WBTA. In New York we were bused to the airport without issues.
