Does anyone know if the US suntan cream for children is different to the ones we buy here? I know on the family board i've noticed a few people say that you're not supposed to use it on babies under 6 months, but I don't recall ever reading that on UK suntan creams before.

I have bought cream out there before for my DD as it's cheaper and I've always found it to be very effective, but will I need some good old Ambre Solaire for DS who'll be 5 months old?

I think the thing about no cream for under 6 mths is more to do with not putting them in direct sunlight. People think if they have a cream on them then they will be safe. I bought our suncream here, a good one which was recommended on the babycentre website. I have bought suncream over there before and found it to be just as effective for me and DH, can't comment on the children's stuff though.
