I believe that a Disney spokesperson confirmed to another website that there will always be a walkway from Soarin' to Hollywood. The exact location will change from time to time. --Suzanne

I think something along this line was said during the BVS part of Expo too.

I was there all week, I can tell you for a fact the Hollywood backlot IS accesible from Soarin. You are kind of in a wooden tunnel, and you have to enter the backlot from the far left side away from Playhouse Disney, but yes, you can get to Electronica, Monsters INC, ECT from Soarin without going through Bugs. I was worried about the same thing, glad to see they kept the walkway kinda open.

The BVS presentation at the D23 Expo discussed how the fountain in Carthay Circle is complete - and showed pictures of the completed fountain - and would be covered up until summer 2012 but otherwise Carthay Circle would be open for traffic flow during the time of the BVS construction.
