We are planning an Escape Wedding at Sunset Point in May. Does anyone know anything or have photos about the "in case of rain" location for this venue? I think it is somewhere inside the Poly, but I would like to know if anyone has any datails.

It's at the Poly on a grassy hill over the beach with the castle and space mountain in front and the Grand Floridian and Contemporary on either side. I don't have any photos but I know there are a few recent PJ's with them. We just booked our May Escape there as well! What's your date? We're 10am on the 16th.

I am familiar with the Sunset Point location. I was hoping for some info on the backup "in case of rain" location.

We are 10:00 on the 30th.

October 17 at 10:00.
Would also be interested in seeing photos of the backup location. Was told that the cake/champagne could be done there if preferred.

I am really hoping that the lack of responses to my question means that it never rains at Sunset Point.

In the spring it rains around 4 almost everyday. But if it's in the morning it should be fine. Still would be nice to know about a backup location. Sunset pointe would be my ideal location.

I don't have my photos back yet. However, there are photos of the location in our slideshow. We had our cake cutting inside because it was so windy out! I loved the room and the way it was decorated. I like things that are a little different and quirky so it suited us well. I would have definitely been disappointed if my whole wedding was there but not devastated!

EEEK I did not want to hear this!!!
My ceremony is at 3.00pm on the 4th May and it's outside - should I expect rain?

Joanne, I was just having the same reaction reading this as it will be when we are all heading to the WP. Maybe we will be lucky and it will be rain free all day.

I emailed Joe, and he sent me pics of the backup rain location. It's the foyer of the former Tangora Terrace Restaurant. The first pic is from Allears, the rest came from Joe:
