Sunset Lakes?

We are renting our first pool home for our Disney trip this summer and I'm looking at some places in Sunset Lakes. Does anyone have information, comments or suggestions on this community? Thanks in advance!

We stayed at Sunset Lakes two years ago and thought it was great. Very small, gated community. Houses all seemed fairly new. If you rent there, remember to take a left on Sherberth road (off of 192) to get to Disney. No signs tell visitors to turn there, but it puts you right by AK.

Recommended Sunset Lakes to my brother, and he stayed in November. He will also never rent a small hotel room again. We both stayed at the same house. Goto magicaldisneyhome com to see the house.

I should note, I don't own or know the owner of this property or any other property in Florida. Just had a good experience there.

Thanks for the info and the AK tip! It's always better to hear from someone who's actually been there! That house looks great...love the pool! May I ask how long it took you to get to most of the Disney parks? Our group will have several small children, so we are planning to come "home" midday to take naps. Thanks.

We went with our 1.5 year old and did naps everyday at the house. I would say about 10 minutes to Animal Kingdom. Of course the other parks would be a bit farther away.

Remember to bring a baby monitor. All the adults can relax in the pool while the little ones sleep, but without the monitor someone would have to stay inside to listen for them.

Make sure you ask the home owner before you pack one. I know I have 2 in my rental home for our guests and one less thing you have to pack is one less thing you have to carry.
