THe countdown is on! :cool1:

I was wondering if anyone has experience with some sunscreen that will help you not break out. i know it sounds gross but i can break out on my back just by looking at grease (lol sorry) i plan on wearing tanks and i need to know of a good SS i can put on my shoulders and back. I know some say oil free and such, but im wondering which ones actually work?

Thanks sooooooo much!

Have you tried Neutrogena sunscreens? They're a little pricey, but my daughter had the same problem with breaking out and that was what the doctor recommended and it seems to work for her.

Also my sonn gets break outs from any and I mean any I have tried almost all lotion type sunscreens, so for him we do Coppertone spray (blue can), It helps because his doesn't care for greasy feeling lotions anyway, this workd well and its all we use on him. I pick up 2 huge cans at Sams and we use them and probably a regular size all summer and we camp ALOT during the summer and that also counts the beach for a week.

I bought a small bottle at Target last year for our trip that was their store brand of the neutrogena sunblock, so it was a bit cheaper. I was worried about my face breaking out, so I used that on my face and the regular spray-on kind everywhere else. I didn't have any problems with breakouts, but I did think it looked a bit greasy.

I like all of the Neutrogena suncreens, but for my face the only one I can use is Neutrogena Senstive Skin. The highest SPF it comes in is 30. I have very senstive skin and this is the only one that doesn't make my face break out and burn! Even the other Neutrogena's make my face break out and burn. It only comes in a lotion formula that I've found so far.

The Ultra Sheer is also nice for back and body b/c you don't realize you have it on. It feels super soft and not greasy at all. On windy days, I use it b/c the cool mist seems to spray away in the wind so easily. Otherwise I love the Neutrogena Cool Mist continuous spray.
I picked up the Target brand a couple of weeks ago as well to give it a try, but haven't had an opportunity to use it.

BTW -- I know everyone is different, but I tried the Coppertone spray (the Coppertone Kids formula) on my daughter and she broke out in hives all over.

I think I will try the neutrogina... unless there are more suggestions.

I have super sensetive skin and I have been using proactiv for about a year now and my face has cleared up (except for hte occasional breakouts) and my chest is baby soft but my back just wont! I dont know what to do!

i want to be able to wear tanks and such because it will be warm and i have a back tatt that i love but i dont want hte sweat and sunscreen to just be horrible. :confused3

Coppertone Sport has been my favorite for years. I also break out VERY easily, and I can use this on my face all summer - and I CAN'T use many moisturizers because they do cause breakouts. I have always loved how quickly it soaks in, and how well it lasts, even while swimming/sweating. Never tried the Neutrogena...

We also love the Neutrogena sunscreen. My DD & youngest DS have very sensitive skin and the Neutrogena has worked great for us.:goodvibes

vanicream sport sunscreen

I have extremely severe eczema as well as chemical allergies (im allergic to lanolin adn parabens which are in everything) adn its the only sunscreen that doesnt make me break out
It is expensive (about $15 per 4 oz tube....we spend about $100 on sunscreen a yr) adn a lot of places have to special order it but its amazing stuff
I am about as light skinned as they come adn i have not had a sunburn since using this (except of course when i forgot to use it;))

This is the same with us. My daughter and I are extremely sensitive to all types of lotion sunscreen even the Neutrogena. However, we have never had a problem using the Coppertone spray. It's not greasy and it has never broken us out. HTH!

My DS has very sensitive skin. We use California Baby Sunscreen Stick with no fragrance. It's SPF 30+ and we've never had a problem with it.

I like Dermatone Z-Cote (4 oz. lotion -- not the mini tin which I guess is for lips). I buy it over the internet. It is made of transparent zinc oxide so it provides broad spectrum coverage, with no allergenic ingredients. I hate the feeling of any kind of lotion on my skin but this doesn't bother me a bit.

Oops, I just noticed you are leaving in one week and three days. You can probably get Dermatone at ski shops and outdoor stores.

HAVE FUN!

Neutrogena spray on 60 is the one DD and I use and we have the same problem as well as sensitive skin. I am also allergic to the sun and this sun screen has really helped me out!!

Another vote for Neutrogena continuous spray. I have very sensitive skin and the spray type sunscreens work best for me. Easy to apply and in the summer months the "cooling mist" feels GREAT!

FYI, Costco sells Neutrogena in 2 packs and they have a coupon for them right now!

I also love all of the Neutrogena sunscreens. I use the Ultra Sheet and the spray (both are available at Costco). I have oily skin and think these are great; neither one feels greasy at all. I'll have to try the Sensitive Skin Neutrogena on my face - it sounds great, too!

I also had bad luck with the Coppertone spray (blue can) - it went on like cement, and I had to scrub and scrub with a soapy washcloth to get it to come off. Hated the texture of it. The only time I'd ever consider using it would be at a water park, because it truly is waterproof!
