Hi folks
I am trying to decide whether to buy my sunscreen in advance here in the UK or just buy it in the resort in Disney.

I seem to remember the shops in the resorts sell spray cans of coppertone/banana boat?

Does anyone here have any idea how much a can of this costs in the resort shops? (We are staying at POR if that makes a difference)

I know it would be cheaper to buy outside WDW, but we don't have a car.

Also, do they still sell SPF15 as well as the SPF30 etc?

Thanks folks!

Miranda

All I can say is that it's more expensive at the parks than it is pretty much anywhere else in the States. I don't know how expensive sunscreen runs in the UK. If you find it to be a big difference, you could even maybe ask someone who's staying at the same resort as you during the same period to pick up an extra bottle or can for you so that you can meet a fellow Dis-er, and get the sunscreen from them and pay them cash. Maybe more trouble than it's worth but I figured it could be an option.

Your best bet would be to buy it ahead of time. It will be less expensive and you will have a better selection in your local stores.

That's a great idea about Garden Grocer -we have ordered some drinks so I will look into that, thanks!

The prices for sunscreen over here are higher than in the US. There are cheap brands of course, but I seem to be allergic to a lot of them (I guess to some additive they include) but Coppertone has always been fine, so I will get some with my drinks order.

Thanks everyone!

That's a great idea. If you know what works for you, and doesn't cause a reaction, I'd recommend ordering from Garden Grocer. Much cheaper than WDW gift shops. I have the same problem with sunscreens; once I find one I like, I stick with it! (For me, it's Neutrogena all the way, including their spray.)

The can of sunscreen that I can buy for about $8 in a drugstore costs about $14 in a Disney resort, so yeah...I'd buy elsewhere lol.
