Got an invitation to it for our upcoming Jambo House stay. They must be re-instating them.:goodvibes

We were invited too! Anyone know what sorts of appetizers they serve?

I forget...so, I asked my husband, and he doesn't remember either. However, we did enjoy them, they asked Trivia questions, gave out hats as prizes. There was an alcoholic and a nonalcoholic beverage. Both of us enjoyed the event.

What I especially liked was that our 9 year old grandson was very happy with the activities he was involved in! He was in a different area with CM's. He was where the CM's of Jambo give their nightly talks.

ah, thanks! :)

My Mom wants to go to both nights I think, she tends to not visit the parks at all. I might go with DD. I'm just trying to figure out if it will ruin our appetite for dinner. We have a 7pm reservation for Boma on Mon night.

I HOPE I get one for my upcoming stay. I went last year, met some nice folks and had a good time. There was food and the disposable plates were made of bamboo, but I don't remember "what" I ate.

Does this include kidani people? Or do they have their own? Sounds fun.

Think of appetizers, not even a small meal.

Our room was at Kidani when we attended.

TBH, my mom is on a diet and can be weird about food. When we stayed Club Level at the YC, she was happy to make a dinner of the appetizers. I'm thinking that is not going to work for me and DD, so I'm keeping our ressie for Boma for now.

But thank you!

I was just there last week (Jan. 1) and they announced it was the last one (ever)....hum... maybe they just wanted us to feel special. anyways, they served a veggie tray, hummus and pita, baby crab cakes, veggie samoas (that said spicy but not) and potstickers. They also had tea, lemonade, punch (alcoholic and nonalcoholic)

We were there mid-november. Same menu! But the food was good. Some fun get-know-each-other activities and giveaways too. The big one was a $100 Disney card. We had fun! DH won another hat - I think he has 8 or 10 different ones at this point!

We attended the second week in Dec, and there were so many guests they divided us into 2 groups. As best I remember, the menu was the same as posted above. The food was good, but it didn't replace dinner for us. It was fun, and we enjoyed it. They gave a few hats as prizes for Disney trivia questions and a $100 gift card to the person whose name was drawn. It was an opportunity to mingle with other DVC owners, and they announced questions we discussed with another guest...what is your favorite WDW restaurant and things like that. There also was an activity where you had to guess another person's favorite Disney character by asking questions. It was a nice event, but it wasn't anything outstanding. We were glad we did it once, but we wouldn't have wanted to go twice in one week. I thought the alcoholic fruit punch was very good even though I rarely drink.

I hope they don't cancel the Mingle. I'm staying at AKV in April and I was looking forward to it. I loved the afternoon events they used to have at TOWL. I was lucky and won lots of merchandise. The only time I've ever won anything, anywhere.

Do they do a mingle at different resorts or is just AK? We're going to be staying at BLT next month with some friends and I'm sure they would enjoy learning more about DVC.

What day of the week is it held? How far in advance did you get the invite? We never had a chance to attend but were invited in the past, so fingers crossed we can in Feb.! Food options and the activities sound good.

The Mingle is at AKV because it is a resort that Disney is actively selling. The BLT gatherings were stopped when BLT went off of the active list.

I was told by a CM in the DVC executive offices that member dues pay for all mingles, welcome homes, and mixers including the merry mixer at Christmas.

Monday & Wednesdays are the days in the invitation. We are getting to Jambo on Monday!(13th). The invitation came earlier this week.

We just got our invite today and are arriving on the 19th to Kadani.
