Help!!! I got in the tanning bed and now I'm burned!!!! Anyone know any good remedies for sunburn?????

First soak in lukewarm tub of water mixed with baking soda and cornstarch. Then coat the sunburned skin with aloe gel.

Apple cider vinegar takes the sting out (but you smell a bit like a pickle, not sure which is worse- LOL)

Tea Tree oil for burns works great smells aweful.. :) wallyworld sells it. I also used the aloe stuff you get in the suntan lotion section and that worked on our kids. My uncle got so burned at disney he was in PAIN so he used solar cane. Good luck and hope you feel better soon

Try Tylenol for the pain, aloe to moisturize and help prevent peeling, and time to heal.
As a redhead I burn very easily and I was adviced never to go into to tanning bed for more than 5 minutes because you can be badly burned. Hopefully the pain will go away soon.

Keep your skin moist and you will tan and not peel! There's a aloe lotion that is sold with aloe at most stores (like Target, Walmart, etc.) but it's white and not as sticky as the clear or green aloe. I LOVE it! Before bed apply it generously...put a bunch on, rub it in, and then put on more! It will soak in a bit while you sleep.

Have to go with ALoe with latocaine (Its BLUE) The latocaine helps with the pain. :thumbsup2

Brew a big batch of it, then chill it. When it's cold, soak a face cloth in it and put it on your sunburn. Takes the sting out without smelling like a pickle! HTH

I have to admit ive never heard of tea for sun burn!!! I LOVE to drink it though!!! Thanks to everyone for the advice.

I take an Advil after I've been out in the sun too long. It really helps with the inflamation you are sure to get with a burn. Good Luck!

Rub the aloe in every half hour until bed and again tommorrow if necessary. Drinks lots of water too.

Buttermilk followed by aloe vera gel, not lotion. Trust me, I am a very fair-skinned redhead, and I have tried it all. Good Luck.:thumbsup2

I always like a nice cold beer when I have a bad sunburn.

How are you feeling now? Is it getting better?

Yes most of the burn is gone. The burn on my chest between the girls still hurts and is really red and nothing seems to help it. But for the most part, Im only a little itchy on my chest but no where else. Im doing better. Thanks for asking!!!

Noxema face cream, has to be the cream kind. Grew up with this and it's amazing! Takes the sting & heat away and the redness too! You do have to really lather it on though! Lots and lots every couple hours. Works great! :thumbsup2

I don't know if the tea will help (but it surely won't hurt) or if it's just because it's cold. I've always used cold cloths on a bad burn because it takes the heat out and keeps it from getting worse. Once it's not hot it will no longer hurt as bad. You need to cool that burn. I have red hair, freckles, and skin that won't tan no matter what so I know about bad sunburns!
