Sun Valley, Idaho

I am trying to come up with ideas for vacation next year. Has anyone ever been to Sun Valley for a vacation? My parents live in Idaho and we like vacationing with them. I have been looking at places in Idaho and Sun Valley seems really nice. Lots of outdoor stuff to do. We would be going during the summer.

Any recommendations for places to stay? Must see attractions?

Try McCall Idaho. It's like Sun Valley but we have a lake.

I just visited my brother in Hailey Idaho--it is very beautiful there. I got to visit Craters of the Moon and City of Rocks. I also got to do some hiking in the Sawtooth Mtns. It was a great trip!

My father's family used to live in Rupert, ID. I love Craters of the Moon and City of Rocks. We also used to go to a rodeo in Twin Falls and we have camped at Red Fish Lake. We love Sun Valley. One day we visited on July 4th, and they had an antique car show, and an ice skating competition. We loved watching the juvenile and novice skaters do their stuff. The air in Idaho is sooo clean. (we are from NJ)..

They are both Beautiful!

I worked at Sun Valley for a year in 1987 to 1988. I loved it and there was so much to do. We liked the drive up to Lake Stanley in the Sawtooth National Recreation area. I still have some great pictures from there. We did go to Craters of the Moon National Monument on more than one occasion. My parents stayed at the Sun Valley Lodge when they visted me (that's where I worked so I got a great discount). There are many other places to stay too. Good luck and I hope you have a grand time.
