I have using the Orlando Toll Pass out of the airport on my my most recent trips but I have a friend that is driving and was going to let them use my sun pass transponder. It is a portable one that sits on the dash but it doesn’t say sun pass pro it just has a gray top and says sun pass. Will it work?

If it works on your car it will work on theirs.

Sunpass Pro is accepted on many other toll roads including all of the EZpass toll roads, without the need to make special arrangements (such as register and later unregister the license plate of a rental car) over and above using the.home state pass such as EZpass on those roads or using a regular Sunpass in Florida..

I believe the reg sunpass is just for Florida,,the Pro is for all states on east coast. Check their website for sure. Its worth just getting the pro for us and they ship it to you.
Just looked up, the reg is good for Florida, Georgia and NC,,Pro is good for 22 states

I have a regular SunPass that also works in Georgia's Peach Pass lanes. You can go online and register the temporary license plate and you should be fine.

We switched over to the Sunpass PRO in our cars. It works all over if we travel. The Sunpass PRO is windshield mounted with suction cups. We have a motorhome that shares a transponder with the car it tows. Just pull it out of the car and put it in the bus.

The portable SunPass used to work for Florida, Georgia and North Carolina. Looking at the SunPass site now, it appears they've expanded THAT to include Kansas, Oklahoma and parts of Texas. (The site says SunPass Mini and SunPass Pro, so I can't say for certain whether a portable SunPass woud work in Kansas, Oklahoma or Texas, but I would think it should.)

SunPass Pro includes all of those plus all the EZPass toll ways in the east and Minnesota as well.

I THOUGHT there were some EZPass states out west too, but the SunPass site does not say anything about them.

Check if your friend has EZPass. I've been bringing mine with me now that its accepted in FL.

And also Kentucky and Illinois. (None of the multi-state toll programs work seem to work in Colorado.)
