We are DVCers that decided on spending a few days at WDW after our 4 day cruise....So, I booked the Summerfield suites because of the fantastic rate....

We had a 2 bedroom suite with kitchen....very clean, roomy, convient, continental breakfast for free ( you can purchase waffles and such for cash)....I would highly recommend this to anybody that need a large place and needed to save money....

Our friends used the shuttle and while it was tolerable...they said they wished they had rented a car....spent large chunks of time waiting on the shuttle....

So, if your considering the Summerfield Suites ....I highly recommend it...

Thanks for the info. We are staying there first week of April. Just wondering when you were there and where you got your great price? How was the pool. What floor were you on. I hear there are no elevators.
Chris

We stayed last week march 6,7 ...great rate was an internet special for Wyndym perferred members (i signed up to get the rate..no fee), Never used the pool but it looked nice, there aren't elevators but parking is at the stairs or across the lot...easy access. We were second floor...wasn't bad at all....

Got any idea of the square footage of the 2 br unit?

Hi Zurgswife -

Thanks for posting about your stay. We also made ressies at the Summerfield during the 50% off sale. Couldn't pass up the chance to save our valuable points for a bigger family trip.

I'm a DVC'er as well. I own at BWV but have also stayed at OKW and BCV. How would you say Summerfield's 2-bdrm compared against the DVC's? Similiar quality and cleaniness? (Just room itself. I know there's no way it can compete against Disney's grounds maintenance.)

From your description, sounds like there's no jacuzzi tub nor washer/dryer. How about daily made service?

Thnks in advance, Steve

Hi steve....while it was no DVC....I was very impressed....For a family of 6 we have ended up with some interesting combinations of rooms....

We didn't spend much time in the room and didn't use the kitchen other then to keep things cold in the frig...the cleanliness of our room was great, maid service was fine except a strange thing that I couldn't find any trash cans and I piled the trash in a cardboard box on the stove and they didn't take it....It was very Odd...but they did clean everything else up on the 2 days we were there...

There is no jaccuzi tub or washer or dryer....but for a night or 2 even a "snob" of a DVCer like us can survive...especailly for the price....

I'm even considering staying there for 2 nights in Dec before moving into BWV....I won a stay at Courtyard Marriott at DIS Con but I'm not sure I can use it then and I much prefer the Suite set-up to getting two connecting rooms...So, I loved it for the Cheapo rate but I'd even pay $150 a night for the room and might end up doing soo...

I just wanted to post how we felt about this location after our recent stay. We just returned from a 6 night stay - Mar 8-14 - and we were more than pleased with the accommodations at this property.

We, too, got this property when Wyndham ran their half-price sale. We stayed in a 2 bedroom unit. Though I don't know the square footage, I would estimate that the 2 bedroom unit would have about the same area as an OKW 1 bedroom. It just "felt" to be about that size.

The room layout and furnishings worked out really well for us. I tend to snore when tired, so with the two beds in the second bedroom my wife and daughter could have their own bed on that side of the unit and me by myself in the master bedroom. The three tv sets came in handy once or twice. We usually prefer to stay on Disney property, but since this stay was just to swim at the water parks we decided the savings for off-site for this size room was just too much to pass up. Besides, driving to the water parks is often easier and quicker than using disney transportation.

Would I do it again ? Guess where we are staying at the "part deaux" swim trip ! Yep, Summerfield LBV 2 bedroom.

Already looking forward to it :smooth: !

What time of year do they do thr 50 off? Even though I'm angry about their attitude with THEIR mistake, it is awfully convenient for work...and dd and dm would be happier here, I think,,,I have already signed up to the Wyndham program, any other suggestions?

Don't know about the 50% off, but I booked for next week at $189. High and peek time I know. I just cancelled and rebooked using the webrates on the website. I got the room for $125. Good Luck!
Chris

If I were you, I'd sure look into renting a 2 br condo or house for a month.

Your family would have a lot more space. I know you could get one for less than the summerffield rate. The pet issue might be a problem tho.
