As part of my Travel and Tourism program I have to do an internship (paid) with a industry company? I think Disney would be able to fill this.

I assume the main differance between this and the Cultural Rep is that Cultural Reps work in the EPCOT pavillions?

I live in Canada. Any ideas? I'm just kinda poking around.

Yes, with the J-1 Summer Work Experience, International University Students have the opportunity to work in various front-line roles throughout the Walt Disney World Resort.

In this instance, they are paid the International College Program rate (normally the same as the Domestic College Program rate).

They are also subject to the same Scheduling Guidelines as all Domestic Disney College Program Participants. As they are not enrolled in Disney Education Classes, this means they must be scheduled a minimum of 30 hours/week and may not be involuntarily scheduled more than 45 hours/week, increasing to a maximum 60 hours/week during designated Peak Periods.

This experience lasts from about late-May to mid- to late-August.

Cultural Representatives work in their respective Pavilion/Work Area at Epcot, Disney's Animal Kingdom Theme Park and Disney's Animal Kingdom Lodge. Canadian Citizens and Residents in this role would be statused to the Canadian Pavilion at Epcot.

Depending on their Work Location, Cultural Representatives may be employed by either the Walt Disney World Company, or by one of our Third-Party Operating Participants.

Those who are employed by the Walt Disney World Company (which includes all Canadian Cultural Representatives) are statused as Full Time Cast Members, receive Health Benefits, and are paid and scheduled according to the Guidelines laid out within the Service Trades Council Union Collective Bargaining Agreement.

Generally, the experience for Walt Disney World Company-employed Cultural Representatives lasts for one year, with an option to extend for three months.

But there is a differance between being a cultural rep and a summer work experience CM correct? I mean either one is fine.

I read that the agency for Canada may not be in my city conducting interviews. Any idea where this could be? I'm assuming like Vancouver, Montreal or Toronto.

Yes, they're two completely seperate programmes. You can apply for one or the other, or both.

Yummy Jobs is the primary recruiter for the Disney International Programs in Canada and the United Kingdom. Any questions regarding recruitment and interviews would have to be addressed to them.

However, Canadian interviews, as I understand it just from chatting with people, are generally held, like you said, in Toronto, Montréal and Vancouver. Time and resources permitting, they may also visit smaller cities (Windsor, Ottawa, Québec City, Calgary, Winnipeg, etc.).
