summer weight goal!!!!

does anyone else have a weight goal they would like to achieve before summer time? i do. i weigh about 120. Im 14. Yeah thats about the average weight but i want to loose my booty ;) and some of the fat in my tummy and thighs. I wanna look awesome for our summer vacation! I dont necasserily want to loose weight i just want to tune up a bit. any exercising/eating ideas or tips??​

I've seen a few pictures of you and I think losing 20 pounds would be very dangerous.

Also, not eating and working out to hard is bad for your health. You should try portion control, and light workouts.
 
Yeah. Like 30 pounds. =)
But I don't stick to diets well and think it's just easier to workout.
And I don't have time during the schoolyear.
So if I do go on a small diet starting now I could probably drop 8 pounds if I stick to it through the end of the year.

I'm gonna start doing Pilates and Yoga and start running this summer. =)
 

i hope to lose like 5 pounds and tone my body i heard that by not drinking pop you can lose like 10 pounds or something in a year but as i said i mostly want to tone my arms abs and thighs.
 
I don't go by weight.
All I want to do is find some sort of work out and healthy food that I like and just stick with that until I'm happy with the way I look.
 
I hope to loose 5 pounds by December 15th.
Because the person in our high-mount (in cheerleading) dropped out & I'm the only other person who can go up in that mount.
And our competition is December 17th so yeahh.
 
Im going to Spain and Portugal in Feb....so I would like to be toned there. I need to be completely fit by summer. I am goign to Florida (for 2 weeks, 1 week at the beach and 1 week at disney) and I know I will be spending a lot of time in a bathing suit.

The holidays are an awfull time to try to think about losing weight....but I know its neccisarry.
 
I just want to cut soda out completely. I really never do drink it except for parties, but I dont even want to drink it then. I also want to start jogging.
 
I would like to lose 20-30 pounds before summer.
However,that number may change because of chemo.
My weight fluxuates so much now it's not funny.
And with my knee being so fragile because of the replacement,I may only be able to do "light" exercise.


PSA: For those of you who have no leg impairment,get out there and exercise as much as you can!
Just like the old saying,You don't know what you got 'till it's gone.
I've gone almost 3 months without being able to use my right leg,and I miss walking/running SO much.
It's like geeze,they could've amputated my leg and it would be no different.
Rant over.

Well, we are teenagers and like it or not Teenager tend to care about what they look like and what other people think of them.
 
not even knowing it in the first two weeks of basketball practice i lost 10lbs. i think thats good, but i thought that was kinda fast for two weeks

I'm tired of me having to hold the 90 pound girls up and is real annoying doing it and if you make one mess up you can injure your self and the other person at a competition last year i messed up and messed up my knee

I'm a little surprised by some of these responses.

Like Hilary, I don't really go by the number on the scale, because that can be dangerous sometimes, I just go by how good I feel.

Like right now, I've gained a bit of weight since the beginning of uniersity (freshmen 15! YIKES) and I'd like to tone it. Not necessarily "get rid of it" just tone it, so I can feel great in a bikini again and fit into my pants form last year!! :goodvibes

I plan on doing that by workouts (i've got a GREAT gym on my campus! lucky) and trying to cut down on the sweets (which is REALLY tough for me!! i have little to no will power when it comes to sweets!)

i'm not gonna go on a serious diet though, because i've got some big ol' lady parts, which i don't want to lose, and if i go on an extreme diet those'll be one of the first things to go!!

so i think working out is my best bet for a great body & a great attitude.

I stopped drinking soda and lost 10 pounds in 2 weeks. I have an autoimmune disorder which makes me allergic to gluten so that cuts out a lot of food that I can eat. It also makes me malnourished and deficient in a lot of vitamins and minerals. Therefore I need to eat a lot of fat and protein to keep my body functioning. If i don't eat for a long time I will pass out. So while I at one time was pretty obsessed with my weight (did suffer from an eating disorder for 6+ years and because of Celiac's Disease do need to be monitored to make sure I don't fall into my eating disorder again) right now I am more concered with my major health problems and getting my body healthy will come with time.

Because of my health problems exercising hard core is difficult for me (that and i am a full time graduate student) so I tend to keep my exercise to walking and I limit what I eat let at night. Because I am malnourished and vitamin and mineral deficient my body tends to get very stressed with excesive exercise. Some people will call me out of shape but it is simply the fact that my body is struggling to fight multiple issues making me weaker than most people.
