Summer weekend crowds at the water parks

A question for anyone who might know: During the summer season, is there a significant difference between weekday and weekend crowds at the water parks?

We're thinking about putting a saturday water park day in our plans for early June next year, but intuitively I would think that the crowds might be quite a bit heavier on weekends due to locals with annual passes.

Saturday works better for our itinerary, but if the crowds are unbearable compared to already impressive crowds on summertime weekdays, we might just stay with a weekday water park plan.

Any commentary?

TIA.

I wouldn't say the crowds are "unbearable", although they are definitely more crowded on the weekends. I think Blizzard Beach gets a bigger crowd too, so you'd be better off at Typhoon Lagoon if you're really worried. We've been there when it's been closed at capacity and still never waited more that 15 -20 minutes for anything (except maybe lunch!)

We went to TL on a Saturday in mid-July. Got there about an hour or two before EMH began. We thought EMH was fabulous... the water was great and the sun wasn't beating down on us. :sunny:

We try to go early-before the crowds. We stayed onsite, so we did EMH. Ride everything early, then just relax in the wave pool or lazy river.
