Summer visit

We visit the parks annually, and we decided to try and throw together a quick trip this summer to escape the heat here in Vegas.

We are looking at doing one day at DCA with our kids (5 and 2.5) the last week of June. We usually stay at BWPPI but I’m looking at the Howard Johnson this time. Thinking of doing 3 nights, with one day at DCA and one day to play at the water park/pool with a visit to DTD. Having never stayed at this property.. how busy does the pool get? I assume most people are at the parks during the day, but ya never know.

Also, I know it’s summer. I know the parks are basically always busy. But how bad will a Tuesday in late June be? lol we always rope drop, and our primary focus is Pixar Pier and Cars Land.

Any ADR or character experiences or anything we should look out for? We’ve never done dining or anything scheduled because our kids have been younger and everything was contingent on their meltdowns. Still kind of is, but we are gaining a little bit more flexibility lol

What about World of Color? Worth it with our kids as young as they are?

Any tips for a successful summer day at DCA are appreciated!!

So summer even on weekdays can be very busy. Not as bust as weekends but it will be crowded

WOC is worth it if your kids can stay up until 10 pm (the show is around 9pm then walking back to the hotel)

Also just so you know the Marvel Musical Rogers starts June 30th.

They cannot stay up until 10pm and neither can I

haha yeah I could not stay up past 10 PM until I was ten

Also just a heads up because your heading to Carsland first. The big ride there can have a line of almost 2 hours all day and part of that is because DLR hotel guests get in 30 mins early.
But most the rides on Pixar Pier should be walk on's at rope drop.

Yeah we skip RSR and use LL or Genie+ or whatever it is now to grab that one later. Wastes too much precious time at rope drop!
