We are headed to DL at the end of June and are waiting for the summer special rates to be annouced. Last year during the same time frame Disney offered 5 nights for the prices of 3--- Fits perfect for us since we will be staying for 5 nights total. Anyone hear anything about this year???

Nothing up for this year yet, should be out mid April to the 1st of may. Someone will see it and post large.

I'd be patient. You could book now somewhere you can cancel if you are worried. Like Jack said April. DLR holds off deals for a later season until people are all set on going the next season. Spring break hasn't started yet and it's not good business sense to encourage people to delay purchases.

We usually make our reservations for summer when the 5 for 3 special comes out. I just looked at our summer reservations over the last two years and for both years, we booked the 5 for 3 in mid-March. Who knows if that will hold true this year, maybe they'll only offer 4 for 3. So, I plan to start checking mid-March for summer specials!

I asked on the live chat about it the other day and the CM said nothing has been announced but to check this spring.

DianaSparrow, thanks for letting me know! We have also got the 5 for 3 deal the last two years, and to know that it could be as soon as mid March, is thrilling! I'm dying to book our package, but hate to not get such a good deal...I've been considering booking with Costco, just to reserve a space, and then waiting until the deal comes out..

CarolAnnB, they are for any of the hotels, as far as I know, because it's just the park ticket part of the pkg that is the 5 for 3. The hotels may have a simultaneous special going on, for instance, stay 3, get 1 free, or something like that? I may be wrong, but it seems to me that's what it was. We booked our hotel separately last year, and got the 5 for 3 with the park tickets (I was using a Disney rewards card, so purchased it separately online) and then we had 3 nights at the Fairfield because we ended up staying at the Paradise Pier hotel for 2 nights later on in the trip...

LuckyCharm, what live chat? here on the disboards?? I would love to get in on something liske that!!

When you go to book somthing on the Disney sites. Often an offer for a live chat to anser questions will pop up.

So, in the past the 5 for 3 deal is on which of the following (or all)?
1. Park hopper passes
2. Disney hotel night stays
3. Good neighbor hotel night stays
Thanks! :)
It makes it so hard for the "planner" in me to wait around for all the summer deals! ;)

does anyone remember how much the buy 3 days get 5 days price was just for the tickets??

No, but if you do search for historical three day DL PH tickets for 2010 you can find it.

The deal is simple buy a 3 day park hopper and get five days.

Mine was $184 but I'm not sure if this was before or after the ticket prices went up last summer.

We did the 5 for 3 last year and it include our parkhoppers and our stay at GCH. I recall some of the good neighbor hotels participated in the 5 for 3 and some did not. I am anxiously awaiting the summer promotion as well.

We stayed at the Fairfield Inn, had 3 free nights (used points from Visa card) and purchased our park tickets with the 5 for 3 deal, I think they were $184 each, but we had a Disney visa rewards card to use too, so our overall total was less) and then we stayed onsite for 2 nights at the Paradise Pier, and we used the rest of the 2 day park tickets then. We went to Vegas in between the two stays...

On our upcoming trip, we may stay 4 nights and do a 4 day park visits initially, then one last park visit and one night at a different hotel before we leave towards the end of our trip...our situation is a bit different, because we are galavanting around different parts of the state! (San Diego~Anaheim~San Luis Obispo~Anaheim)

thanks for the pricing info for the 3for5 last year.

we are debating wether or not to purchase AP's or go the 3for5 route. i guess the main question would be if we go twice within the year, then the AP's would make more sense.

07Pilot, I saw that you are requesting Aladdin preferred seating on another thread for the same time as we will be there! ;) Still haven't decided exactly where we will stay yet, most likely Fairfield but if the onsite properties have some deep discounts, we may consider staying at the PP again! We liked the concierge, we had breakfast & evening snacks for the 2 days we were there...don't think I'd like staying at the DLH, there doesn't seem to be any advantage as far as the distance to parks, staying at the PP, we walk to the GC and then use their private entrance.
