Summer rentals - how far in advance?

We're looking at as much as a 2-week stay at a condo or townhouse in late June of 2013. Obviously this is way out, but how far in advance should we be looking to book something? I don't want to get ahead of myself, but I also don't want to find options limited because of the 2-week duration.

We've been doing 2 weeks in August the past few years and I usually book in April or May. We used to go for 1 week in November and never booked that more than 4 or 5 months in advance either.

Unless you are extremely particular or have a specific property in mind, you should have no trouble booking 3-4 months in advance. The area is inundated with rental properties. They are never all full.

I just checked Windsor Palms and their calendars only go out 12 months so only through 2/13 right now.

My family and I are trying to book late June 2012 right now, and finding about 1/3 of the properties we'd be interested in are available, so for full selection I'd recommend starting to look a bit earlier than we did

If you find a home you love and is ust right for your family I would say book it as soon as possible.Many owners are already taking bookings for 2013 .
