Hi:)

Okay I have two trips booked, one for July and one for October, however we may need to cancel one as me and DBF are going to Paris in June now, and as we are going to DLH in a few months it seems sensible to cancel one trip..

I just keep changing my mind on what trip to go on.

This is what we have booked...
3 Nights in July/August at HNY
AND
3 Nights at DLH in October (before half term)

Both trips are about the same price so the deciding factor will be entertainment and what trip will be more enjoyable.

Pros for August - High School Musical
- Later opening hours
- Wishes
- Fantillusion
- will be nice to stay at the HNY again after 2 trips at the DLH.

Pros of October - Halloween
- less crowds
- DLH for a fab price (booked with the 10% of offer in January)

Also I am not sure what 15th anniversary stuff will be running in October, and if it will be better to see it in summer.

so the question is "what would you choose?":confused3

I had the same dilema and we chose October - the 15th Anniversary stuff will be in full force by the way. The Halloween season is for us a major factor and better than anything we've ever seen in any other season. The longer hours are nice in the summer but we found last October that we had enough time in the parks and had time to appreciate restaurants like Cafe Mickey which we went to after the park had closed. As for weather - we had better weather in October than we'd had in July the previous year and July last year bordered on too hot at 42 degrees celcius!

I would also say October, apart from the fact that I thought I read that you are off to WDW in October too - so going to DLP in July would spread out your trips a bit more :) But I sure you have already considered all these sorts of things!! :goodvibes

Although we tend to choose summer as it is part of our main summer holiday I'd love to sample Halloween. Oh dilema, dilema :goodvibes
Sorry but I'm torn for the pros and cons that you have listed.
Let us know when you decide :goodvibes

I took DD for a couple of days at the end of August and also at the end of October last year. Both times were very busy as August was school summer holidays and October was school half term. However, we had not done Halloween before and we both loved it. All the Halloween theming is exceptional. Given a choice I think we would both choose Halloween again. Also funny as it may seem, last year we had better weather in October!

I loved Halloween as did the rest of the family, just wondering if your DD would be as impressed with it though.
I thought it was great to see so many villains around the park on walkabout and even Minnie, Donald and Chip & Dale had got Halloween costumes on.
Halloween against any other season and Halloween would win but Halloween against mid summer would be a tough one, for the very reasons you've listed.
Not much help was I ?

Hi, thanks for your advise, I think we will go in summer, it breaks up the school holidays a bit.

I did not ask my DD as she will just choose October to stay at the DLH if we give her the choice, and I don't really mind which hotel we stay at so would rather choose the trip based on other reasons. Also last year we bumped in to Jafar near the entrance to fronteirland and DD was petrified of him, and refused to even walk past him to get to BTM, so not sure how she will feel about the villains wandering the park.

I see that you made your choice so I won't try to sway you ;)

I was thinking the same thing. But my reasons are just like Steve. And after dealing with last summers heat wave in Germany I really don't want to deal with that at DLRP (don't ask how I enjoyed several nights at 40 degree weather on the top floor of a house in Bavaria with no fan let alone air conditioning, overlooking the muck heap, which had been cooking all day in the sun...... :rotfl: ). I'll take a nice cool crisp day (or even a winter day!) over that thank you very much!!!
