Summer Hours

I have a trip planned from June 8th-June 16th. Yay! I have been watching the calendar to see if hours will be extended and they haven't budged. Currently it's showing MK open from 9AM-9Pm (with early hours). I thought for sure the park would be opened later that 9PM. Does anyone know if this will change and if so when will the later time be announced? Thanks!

They have been waiting until last minute to update the hours it seems. So, maybe a few weeks out they'll change. That said, they also cut back on some hours last year too, but I really cannot see them closing MK at 9 pm in the summer.

They might be, so stay tuned. In any event, you'd probably want to schedule your FastPasses for fairly early in the day, since MK is the one place where you can have some success getting more beyond the 3 as the day goes on.

I have same problem. I can't find evening magic hours for our July trip. I like to make my dining plans based on which park we're going to be at, and I pick a park based on the magic hours. UGH!!!!

Hours for the last 6+ months have been adjusted and updated about a month ahead. So for March hours, look for them to be extended end of Jan/beginning of Feb

Extra magic hours are already out for July. Plan around those but then keep an eye out closer just in case anything changes and they switch emh parks

This happens every year. They update them a month before, like others noted. We go in August every year and last year for example they extended the hours and added EMH in July.

Agree with everyone -- this happens all the time. Hours are updated sometimes weeks or days before trips recently.

As an example, for our trip last Aug 10-21 MK hours were listed as closing at 9PM. On Jul 15th, they changed this to a 12am or 11pm close during our whole trip.

You'll book your FP in April (60 days before your trip). The hours listed when you book FP will not be the actual hours for your trip. They will change between April and June.

It makes it so hard to plan! I am going in August and working on ADRs now. Then FPs 60 days out. I have a feeling I will change them up a bit once park hours are extended.

Oh well, I'll take more hours. Not a fan of the 9pm closures in the summer.

Which is so annoying! They ask us to plan FP 60 days out but then don't give us accurate hours. I don't care about closing hours as much as will they open at 8 or 9. We usually go to DL which is much slower about releasing things so at least this is better than DL.

If it's anything like last year, they will extend mid May. Hopefully they will do it earlier but I doubt they do it before your (or my) Fastpass date, unfortunately.

I know last year it was mid month the month before. Have they actually started doing it sooner?

It's been pretty reliable that on the 15-17th the month before the hours adjust. There is occasions where it's sooner but more likely 15-17th the month before is when you need to check your plans vs the times.
