Summer foods?

Hi:

Does DL offer any special foods/ desserts/ drinks in summer months? We usually go in Oct. or Dec. when it's more likely carrot-cake cupcakes and hot chocolates.

I don't think so.

I think when it's cold, they sell more hot chocolate and cake, when it's warm more ice cream and soda. But the selection year round is basically the same.

You'll find that there are more carts for ice cream treats (well ... more carts in general) during the summer but they pretty much offer the same things year 'round.

skiingfast, and cyclenut have forgotten to mention CHOCOLATE COVERED STRAWBERRIES!! I look forward to these from late spring through early summer. My favorite are the ones dipped in white chocolate and then rolled in coconut.

YUM. I didn't see the coconut ones last time I was there. Will definitely look for those in August!

I think they have them year round, maybe that's why they are $4.25 each! They were there on our last trip in December.

They have choc covered strawberries all year, I know, I've had them all year. YUMMY!!!!

I don't think the selections change that much, you will see more ice cream carts out but that's really about it.

Oh my goodness ... the pineapple frozen smoothie thing at the Tiki Room!! Absolutely, hands down, the best summer snack at DL. I crave it. Somebody please tell me they still have it because I heard rumors that Tiki Room was changing.

I think that rumor you heard is about the Tiki Room in Disney World. So I wouldn't worry about the Dole Whips in DL.
