Summer cruise itineraries

Due to my DH's and my work schedules, summer (narrowly, July 1-Aug 25) is the only time we can vacation. We would love to do one of the Canada cruises or anything else that leaves from NY (where we are from). Are these EVER scheduled during summer? Is there a reason why they haven't been?

Due to my DH's and my work schedules, summer (narrowly, July 1-Aug 25) is the only time we can vacation. We would love to do one of the Canada cruises or anything else that leaves from NY (where we are from). Are these EVER scheduled during summer? Is there a reason why they haven't been?

DCL currently has only 4 ships. The Magic is the only ship that ever sails in the New York or Canada area, and it spends the entire summer in Europe. The Wonder spends summers in Alaska, and the Dream & Fantasy service DCL's Bahamian/Caribbean itineraries all year round. That's why there are currently no Canada cruises available in the summer.

In a few years, DCL will debut two new ships. With those additional ships, there will likely be new itineraries, and more cruises out of New York will become more likely.
