Summer crowds?

It looks like we'll be heading to France for the summer, we've never actually been during the summer!

My MIL is planning out our lives for the month we're there but I'm squeezing in a few days at DLP. DH said schools are out late in June and we'll be arriving mid-June. Would we be better off going early in the trip or later in July?

You'll be fine with June as July is when the school holidays start in the UK. August is when most of France is on holiday .
