What is the difference between these two properties? I see both of them showing up on the rci redemption list for a time that would work for us but unsure which is a better choice. From reading back, I see that the Inn at Summer Bay is not too good, but what about the others:confused3 TIA Grammy

I am an owner at Summer Bay Resort. It's Gold Crown rated by RCI but the villas are Silver Crown. They are older I believe. Even though they both share the same entrance, the condos are nicer. I haven't been there since Nov. and they were doing construction so maybe they are available? I don't know if the newer section will have a different resort # with RCI or just be part of the whole resort. (Orange Lake seems to be doing this a lot.)
The Inn @ Summer Bay is a very old hotel across the street on the other side of Rt. 192. I think some people stay there when they get one of those Cheap Vacation but Tour Our Property vacations. Truthfully I barely notice the place.
If you're trading a TS and have a choice of Summer Bay or Villas @ Summer Bay, take Summer Bay (RCI #3175)
The only thing I don't like about the place is that the beds are a little hard. Condos are clean and spacious. We have a 3BR lockout. We use the 2br (2 baths and Jacuzzi in master bat.) and my parents stay in the lockout which also has a full kitchen and washer/dryer.
There is a Publix right next door with a little strip mall, (library, Papa John's pizza, Chinese food and more)
Approx 1 mile down 192 and north on 27 is a mega WalMart. We really enjoy the clubhouse/main pool. We've only stayed there twice in the 3 years we've owned but both times we had an easy walk to the pool from our condo.
HTH. Let me know if you have any more questions! :goodvibes

Thanks ru for the explanation. I just posted my question again on the review board because I didnt see your reply. Grammy
