Summer Bay resort and Villas at summer bay

I believe that these are two different properties. Phase 1 and Phase 2. But which is the older one? Any feedback good or bad?

They are both located at Summer Bay... They share a central pool, check in and a smallish snack-necessity shop. The villas are all smallish 2 bedrooms. They are farther away from the "action" ( pool and check in). When I stayed there, the villas were newer than the regular larger timeshare condos. But, there is still construciton going on so I think they will be both older, and newer Villas and regular timeshare condos. Villas sleep 6 with 2 queen beds and a sleeper sofa. Kitchen is small but adequate. The living rooms were furnished with wicker furniture, and a sleeper sofa. Bedrooms were small with 2 full baths, no whirlpools are anything special. THey were equiped for a washer and dryer, but when I was there, they did not have them and we had to use a central laundry room. I stayed in the Villas in 1999 and 2000.

oops... I forgot to say, that I'd feel comfy reserving a Villa at Summer Bay, but I'd also feel really good about trying out one of the larger timeshare condos' at the resort. ( they are really both timeshares). I think I would try to book ( or trade) a Summer Bay Resort 2 bedroom before I would book ( or trade) a Villa at Summer Bay. The Whole quality of the resort is outstanding. I love the little pool bar, Heavenly! I'll be happy to help with more specific questions.

We stayed in the 2br villas march of this year and there was a whirlpool/shower combo in the master bath.

It also had a stackable washer/ dryer unit.

We were right by the kids interactive pool and thought it was a great place to stay!

Thanks for posting! I guess maybe some of the newer villas have whirlpool? Ours just had a simple tub-shower combo in both baths. Is there now a separate pool area just for the Villas of Summer Bay? It's great to hear that they have added a stackable washer and dryer also! Thanks!

The way our villa was situated we were just a few doors down from the kids interactive pool and just across the street was another pool we could use at another set of condos(not sure if it was still the villas part as well?) It has the large pool,hot tub and a zero depth entry with the mushroom pool.

SO we didn`t have to go way over to the clubhouse to go swimming. Which was a plus!
