Summer Availability?

I know MS is closed on the weekends - but has anyone talked with them within the past week to see what availability was like at any of the resorts in July?

We had to cancel our trip next week and our points went into holding and can't use them til tomorow. We were able to get 3 nights on points that we had that were still available but the other points are in holding which I have to used by end of Feb 2004.

I'm sorry you had to cancel your trip. I think I was reading your thread over on the Transportation board yesterday. I do know that the Wilderness Lodge had availability as of Friday for the end of June/beginning of July in a one bedroom. I think there was also some availability at Old Key West. The fourth of July and the few days after were pretty booked up but I bet you could find something at several of the resorts if you weren't looking for the fourth. Hope that helps!

we're tentatively going July 19 - 27. I was able to get 3 nights at VWL the nights of 24, 25, 26. We just bought in Dec and BCV was the only DVC available (wanted VWL) so we were looking forward to staying there - we've got a 2 br booked cuz my nephews mights come with us - keeping our fingers crossed on that - but was hoping to pick up the 22 & 23 at VWL. If only one nephew is coming then we could do a 1BR or even a studio (prefer 1BR) Will know today if they can make the trip.

This DVC greenhorn is really starting to learn the ins and outs of DVC planning on this trip - lol

Earlier this week I had to cancel our 6/21 stay at VWL and change it to 7/27. I assumed that I would hear "sorry, not available."

You can imagine my surprise to hear that there was a 1 bedroom unit available for the dates that I needed it (through 8/2.)
