I am desperate to find out when and if there will be any discounts or special offers this summer. Specifically, I am going June 28- July 6. I think that this is most likely a blackout time typically. However, being an optimist, I am holding out hope for free dining or at least a resort discount. My trip is paid in full..but int he past they still have given me the discount and then issued me a reimbursement/refund.

So- here is the big question.. I see that the current offer for resort discount is out- the one that covers up until June 14. When do you think the next issuance of discounts will be out? Does anyone think there will be any offers? I have read that the new FL has not received the huge crowds that they expected and that they may offer special discounts/rates to entice people to come.

Where did you hear that the Fantasyland expansion had been a flop? Most of the threads on the Dis Theme Boards have been complaining about the higher than normal crowds. And the current thoughts by "those who know" is that there will be an overall decrease in discounts this year- limited or no free dining and a decrease in the amount of savings on room only discounts.

If you want to find the latest announcements on discounts and special offers, then haunt the Discount Codes thread at the top of the Resorts page. But I wouldn't hold my breath for anything during your dates- that's a high crowd time, so I doubt they would need to attract more people at that time.

You can check on mousesavers.com for dates when offers have come out in the past, and the types of discounts that were offered.
