why do I know nothing about this attraction?? I know it's not a FP attraction so I'm assuming I need to hit it early. Can my family (DH, DD5, DS3) build the coaster with me and then I would be the only one to ride? Are wait times not available on MDE app for this? How long does it generally take if you go right at rope drop?

I don't think it is something you need to race over to. We have done it in the middle of the day with a 20 minute wait. No wait times posted. Pretty fun but the graphics need updating

It's one of the rides I am most looking forward to. My 9 yr old son will love it.

Lines can get long midday because the process takes a while. We usually hit it first thing so my son can do it a few times in a row without much waiting. I usually allow about 30 minutes for him to do it twice at rope drop. Even with no line you have to watch the pre-show video (which is kinda long), use the kiosk to design the ride, and then finally ride it. It's a huge hit for a 12 year old boy. I usually just watch. I love real coasters, but the virtual kind don't do much for me.

We have 4 kids going with DF and I, 12, 10, 9 and 7 so this is a must for us. We have never done it but I think having boys that are 10 and 9... They would enjoy this...

I've never seen more than 2 people at a design station, so I don't know that all 4 of you could be at the design station. And the height requirement might preclude your kids from participating at all.

We did this at rope drop twice during the past week, and we were the first ones on the ride (one day we were on at 8:50, while everyone heading to Test Track was held at a "rope" at the Innoventions breezeway until 9:00).

For two 11-year-old grandsons, Sum of All Thrills is their current favorite of all WDW attractions. One day, they did the attraction twice in a row, and the other day, they did it three times in a row (each wait being no longer than the time for the pre-show to end for the group ahead of them). Then it was on Mission Space, followed by Test Track with FP+.

Yes, there is no FP+ for this, nor are there wait times listed in My Disney Experience.

Where is this located? I guess I have never stumbled across it

It's in the Innoventions East building (which I guess is the only Innoventions building now with attractions in it). You can enter the building before you get to the breezeway where the Test Track crowd was being held on that one particular day (have not ever seen the crowd held at that particular location before, so don't know how common this is).

I would go at rope drop. We went mid-afternoon in late January, & there was a substantial line.

We spent a rainy day at Epcot in Innoventions buildings. My then 17yo and 9yo loved it. And even for a rainy day, it wasn't a very long wait. Maybe 30 minutes.

So it's possible to stand in line and watch at the design kiosk and then exit without riding while part of your party rides?

Obviously they wouldn't ride at the end, but you don't think they'd even be allowed in to the design kiosk?

I don't think they would let the kids into the design area, both because of the height requirement & because there's a maximum of two people per design station.

I guess this will be one I take my 12-yo niece on then! Thanks for the info!!

Go early. The process is long. You watch a video explaining what to do, then the design stage, then ride. There are only 4 pods, each holding 2 ppl.

Yes. I was able to accompany my family, watch them design their rides and then I was let out while they rode. You can watch them ride from behind the plexiglass. It's cool to see the pods flying around.

What is the height requirement for going upside down? Can't remember from our last trip... Thanks!
