Suites near DL?

Ok, long story short, my DH and I are trying our best to take my parents to DL next year; they've been through a lot and done a lot for us lately and we've never been.

But, we need a 2-bedroom/2-bathroom suite with a living room. I've looked at the Carousel Inn & Suites, but the park view suite that we would need is booked.

The short part of my long story - my dad is a horrible snorer. So, that's why we need the 2-bedrooms with a living room. My mom or dad will end up on the sleeper in the living room for most of the trip, so that's why I can't just get 2 basic rooms. When my parents always took me to WDW, we always had to get 2 rooms because of the snoring and my dad would stay in one and us the other. (It's a horrible medical condition for him, but my parents have learned to deal with it. And, the nose-strips, ear-plugs, etc. do not work for us; we've gone through this many times and just have to find suites when we travel, or my mom doesn't get to sleep.)

Anyway, any suggestions?? We normally stay at a Homewood Suites whenever possible, but it looks like that one is a couple miles from DL. I haven't had a chance to call and see if they do transportation back and forth, yet.

How about the C2 Parlor Family Suite at Desert Inn
I have not stayed there, I only know they have one from their website

I'll second the DI&S. We have stayed in the C2. It's by no means fancy, but works very well for us.

call desert inn now and get it booked you can get good rate like 139 for two bedroom- when you wait the price goes up i booked almost a year ahead when i was going to stay there (now staying hojos ent rate)

I'll 3rd Desert I & S 'cause that's where we're staying in Nov , but if you do want a bit nicer hotel we've stayed at the Staybridge Inn and Suites and really liked it. We booked thru Costco and had a 2 room suite with a living room, kitchenette seperating the two. I don't know if the 2 room suite is available without booking thru a travel agency though, and it is a mile away from the park so using the shuttle is necessary unless you drive. But there are options out there. Good luck and have fun! It's very nice what you're doing for your parents!

Homewood Suites or Hyatt Regency. Yes, they are both further away from DL but you can take ART or drive to the park. We used ART for the first time last year and loved it. It was nice to save my feet for walking IN the park.

An off-topic aside: My dad was a horrible snorer for years, too. He finally went to a sleep clinic and was diagnosed with acute sleep apnea. He uses a CPAP breathing device and has for years now. It was a pain to get used to, but once he got past the initial month of discomfort, it literally changed his life. (and Mom's! ) He can't sleep without it now, and it has improved his health enormously. He couldn't drive for years because he was always in danger of falling asleep at the wheel. Now he's always refreshed, alert, and in a much better mood than he ever used to be!

There's a Residence Inn and a Peacock Suites that are not too far away (On Clementine Rd.) and I believe they would both offer your type of suite.

Another idea would be to ask some of the hotels that offer one bedroom living room suites if they can connect that to another room with a doorway.

oh camolot inn was grate maybe see if they have anything i forgot they had suits we wre in room 404 and can see the fireworks there

Both residence inns and homewood suites are on the Anaheim Resort Transit (ART) route. The residence inns are a bit closer. You can get suites with 2 bedrooms and a living rom at the RIs for sure (we have one booked for September) and there is a full kitchen and complimentary grocery shopping!

We have stayed at the RI on Clementine many times and they will be able to help you depending on the dates. Great breakfast, free grocery shopping, etc. Best of luck.

Best hotel in Anaheim? Lemon Tree. It's a few blocks away (about 5 minutes by car) and not on ART system but it's so worth it!! Awesome shopping center a few blocks from hotel with my favorite coffee joint and the best donuts I have ever had. The hotel is amazing with the most accomodating staff I have ever encountered! They have a 2 bedroom "apartment" with a living room and either a kitchenette or a kitchen.

Now, I have never stayed in this room but I have stayed in almost every other type of room they have and have never been disappointed.
