Suites and Concierge

I am planning a 2nd Christmas trip of a lifetime for Mum and Dad in a few years have to save some money first aiming for 4 weeks as opposed to 3 weeks and plan to have some DVC and spend a little time off site but want to be able to do a couple of extras the Sunrise Safari at AK and some Luxury.

So my question is if you stay in a suite in the WDW hotels do you get the concierge services?

Janeossie, what a lovely trip you are planning. It sounds wonderful.

To answer your question, only time will tell. I have done suites when concierge service was not offered as part of the deal (a two-bedroom suite at the GF). I have also done suites when concierge was offered as part of the deal (a two-bedroom suite at the GF, a two-bedroom suite at the YC & AKL, and a one-bedroom suite at the AKL). I have found that with anything Disney, everything is subject to change without notice.

I only say this so that you are aware of what can happen. My guess is, however, that Disney will continue to offer concierge access to guests in suites. Again, that is only my guess (but I'll keep my fingers crossed that it continues to hold true).

the one bedroom suites at the AKL does include concierge service. however, these suites have 2 queen beds in the bedroom not a king sized bed you would expect in a suite.

Sorry, this is quite incorrect. Some of the 1BR suites at the AKL have a single king bed in the bedroom with a queen sleeper sofa in the living room, while others have two queens in the bedroom with the queen sleeper in the living room.

Yes, I was told three weeks ago that no kings in 1 bedroom suites at AKL, then this morning, I was told that there are two 1-bedroom suites that DO have the king in the master bedrm.

Now...we have a 2 and a 1 bedroom suite reserved at the AKL and with concierge services.
I feel like Janet2k and hope that Disney keeps offering CL access for suites.

So far, all of our suite stays have had CL access.

well that sucks! i was going to book a 1 bedroom suit at the AKL and i was told by 2 diff CM that none of the 1 bedroom suites had king beds! but that they had a larger more expensive ( like twice as much ) suite with a king sized bed. so i went with the king concierge.

this is getting soo anoying! i wish disney would make up thier mind! i feel like i am paying way too much for a vacation that i may or may not get what i paid for!

Kelli...how many are in your party?

We are doing the 2 bedroom for the first two nights with 6 people and then moving to a 1 bedroom for the last two nights, for 4 of us.

I like having our own space and privacy away from the teens!

2bedroom, with tax is a little over $1300, the 1 bedroom is a little over $800.

And yes, you are correct about the CMs not knowing what they should know!

but, don't be too mad.....AKL CL is AWESOME!!!!

there are a grand total of 2 in my party. and call me weird, but my DH and i like to sleep in the same bed while on vacation.

this year we are doing our vacation in blow out style and i was going to book the 1BR suite as a surprise. but i am still at going to AKL.

but hey, the 7 for 5 came out and we did the concierge instead. and last i heard, the suites are not included in the 7 for 5 package. so we are going to stay for 4 more nights for only 300 more than we would have paid for the suite. i am sure i will get over it by the time our vacation comes around

Tell Susan or Andrea at AKL IPO that you'd like to have one of the KING bed 1 bedroom suites...it's a request, not a guarantee, but they are very good at keeping their CL guests happy!

And....the concierge access does come with the suites at AKL.
