Can anybody recommend a suite hotel near Universal for our April trip?
The ones I have been looking at are pretty tacky and shabby with tiny pool areas. A decent size fridge and somewhere to eat breakfast is enough, I'm not going to be cooking main meals. A king bed and sofa bed is prefered but two doubles is fine. Oh yeah, not too expensive ;)

TIA:):):)

We stayed at

for one night in November. Nice and clean, lots of room, nice breakfast, snacky things and drinks at the evening reception. Only not so good thing was the pool - very shaded and not too many loungers but apparently you can use the pool at the hotel next door.

Got a good price from travel republic - much cheaper than rack rate.

There is one nearer, the one you have linked to is near the convention centre, this one is near Universal, we stayed here a few years back £22/night misprice http://homewoodsuites1.hilton.com/e.../en/hw/&xch=808722330,A2HD3AYJFQ5SCCSGBIY2VCQ

We stayed at Holiday Inn Maingate in a family suite and I have to say was very impressed with the room !!

I cant actually comment on the pool as it was freezing and we didnt actually go and have a look but the brochure in the room said it had just been refurbished.

Breakfast was at TGI fridays which is located inside the hotel and we really enjoyed the breakfast on offer.

We thought it was very reasonably priced.

Thanks for all the suggestions so far guys:thumbsup2
