My family and I are contemplating a trip to WDW in May for Star Wars weekend and Sea World. We have always stayed at WDW, but have been unable to obtain hotel discounts at a deluxe or moderate, and want to stay on a budget. I do quite a bit of internet research on our trips, and am wanting to compare/contrast some of the All-Suite hotels in the Lake Buena Vista Area. Could anyone help us with information about:

1. Hawthorne Suites

2. Homewood Suites

3. Buena Vista Suites

4. Spring Hill Suites @ Marriott World Village

5. Summerfield Suites

6. Country Inn and Suites

I am particularly interested in room quality, breakfast bar items, and shuttle transportation to and from MGM and Sea World. Any help would be aprreciated.

Hi, you didn't mention (HIFS) Holiday Inn Family Suites as one of your choices so I wonder if you knew that they offer a FULL FREEE breakfast buffet or that kids eat FREE all day. (very budgetwise hotel) Just thought I'd offer my .02 cents. ;)
Do a search on this board for HIFS, you will find tons of great info. and reviews.

You may have ruled out Embassy Suites, but just in case you didn't know about them, I thought I'd give you some information. I stayed at the ES Convention Center location last April. Both properties are owned by the same company, so they're probably similar.

Suite - Large bedroom with 2 beds, sink, mirror, and TV. 1 Bathroom. Kitchenette area with sink, microwave, small refrigerator, coffee maker, and counter. Living room with table and 4 chairs, hide-a-bed sofa, chair, coffee table, and end table.

Pools - 1 indoor and 1 outdoor.

Breakfast - Incredible breakfast bar (french toast, eggs, bacon, sausage, biscuits, cereals, juices, etc.) PLUS you can also order anything else you want "cooked to order" at the grill there in the eating area. I had an omelet every morning we were there. All of this is completely free.

Again, I stayed at the Conv. Ctr. location, so you would need to doublecheck with the LBV location.

Buena Vista Suites - I think BVS is similar to ES, but the breakfasts aren't as nice (just a buffet). I talked to a travel agent who stayed both there & at the Caribe Royale. He said that the rooms and breakfast were about the same. Since BVS is a sister property to the Caribe (next door), you can use the fabulous pool at the Caribe (pool slide, etc). You can check it out at www.cariberoyale.com . They don't advertise that fact though. Your room key gets you in the gate at the pool.

Have you heard about the brand new Country Inn & Suites near Universal Studios? It is located in the International Drive area and has both standard rooms and suites. Its a pretty nice place, and has only been open a few months. You can check out their site at http://www.jaytelhotels.com/countryinn
