So right now I'm shooting with a Sony HX9V and as much as I love it, I think it's time to move up. Now first let me say that I'm an amateur but I have a good understanding of things like ISO, white balance & aperture. I'm looking for something lightweight, with a good ecosystem & that can take great video too (and if I can swing it features like wifi & GPS). I've been looking at the Sony NEX series and really like the size and features, but the ecosystem is small. I'm not opposed to a full sized dSLR, but like I said earlier I'm kinda looking for something lightweight. As for budget, I'd like to stay under $1000 for a good setup. I may keep the HX9V as a backup shooter, but if I get a good enough setup I might be able to sell that to get a little more for the new one. As for what I'll be shooting, it's mostly portraits, landscapes & video, though I would like to get into some more artsy aspects of photography down the line. Thanks in advance for all the help!!
