Just looking for suggestions on good places to eat for dinner.
So far we have PS for the California Grill in The Contemporary during the fireworks. Any help would be appreciated!

What kind of meals are you looking for? The Coral Reef at EPCOT is supposed to be good, although I haven't eaten there. Chef Mickey's and Crystal Palace both get good reviews for character meals. I can't wait until our trip, so I can try them for myself!

You might check out the menus on allearsnet.com under the Dining section, give you an idea of what you might find!

I would recommend Le Cellier in Epcot as a don't miss. I also recommend Hoop Dee Doo at Ft. Wilderness for a great meal and show. Depending on what type of meal you are looking for, I also think that Boma is worth a try! Also, Liberty Tree Tavern has a great meal for dinner (they also have characters, but if that isn't of interest, the food is still good!).

Definetly try Citrico's at the GF! It's probably my absolute favorite of all the resturaunts in all of WDW.

Chef Mickey's is very good, as is O'Hana - another favorite.;)

There are so many!

I'm kinda at a loss on when to make PS reservations. How do we know what we will be doing on what day this far in advance? Is it better to eat dinner later in the evening. It's sort of like you have to plan the late afternoon around PS. Again HELP?
Thanks!

If you're looking for something simple, we love the food at "Spirit of Aloha", the show is ok (imho, the original show was better) and the food at Whispering Canyon, oh and also, I love (DH isn't too crazy for it though) the food at O'hana...we got to watch the fireworks from our table last time!

You can make PS 90 days out I think. Sometimes it is hard to make PS when you're not sure what you want to do during the day. We just usually make the PS times near our normal dinner time or if we make PS for Breakfast and Dinner, we just gap the times far enough to give us time to walk around and work off the meal. If I make PS for a dinner in one of the parks, we just go to that park for the day. We try not to go crazy w/ the PSs though, sometimes it does get over whelming and you feel like you HAVE to be somewhere at this time...we make only about 1 PS for each day (either breakfast or dinner).

I hope this helps! ENJOY! ::yes:: ::yes:: ::yes::

Once the park hours are out, we usually can figure out pretty easily which park we are going to be at when, since we try to make sure we hit each nightly show, favorite restaurants (Disney is all about eating for us, now), which parks we want to stay late at, etc. So that makes PS planning alot easier, since we know what we want to do... but, we also have a list of restaurants that we want to hit, as we're familiar with them all now, so that makes things tons easier, too.

I would figure out how much eating you want to do. We usually eat something in the room, unless we are doing a character breakfast (which I HIGHLY recommend doing at least once!), then a lunch and dinner... though it's often cheaper to eat a big lunch and counter service at dinner, we like being able to eat a quick lunch in the parks, go back to the rooms in the afternoon if we so desire, clean up and go out to a nice dinner. Each family is different in that respect.

My fave meals that *I* think are must hits are 'Ohana's, California Grill, 50's PT or Sci Fi, any of the world showcase places... If you want a character meal, Chef Mickeys and Crystal Palace I think are most popular, though we LOVED the Princess Storybook at Epcot this time around. We aren't much into the plush characters as much as the face ones. 1900 Park Faire is a great one, too, both for breakfast and dinner (both character meals).

My biggest suggestion is to really read through www.allearsnet.com for menus and prices. If you see anything that looks appealing and worth your time, post for opinions on here... people are pretty honest =) If you still want to try it, see how you can work it in with your park hours once they are released.

Some people are completely content grabbing counter food, eating maybe one PS meal a trip, and just taking a chance on getting in without a PS... We've reached a point in which WDW is all about eating good, I guess because we're adults who've done all the parks... and we love to eat ;) You'll have a great time either way!

It is kind of hard in that respect, you do kind of have to plan around the PS's you make. Biggest suggestion really is to only make the seatings ahead of time that you know are must do's . I wouldn't make PS's for every meal or more than a couple anyway ahead of time. If you know you just have to see the HOOP-DE-DOO dinner show or have to have that breakfast in the castle with Cindy or even have a need for that one meal at least at Chef Mickey's or Crystal Palace, these are all difficult to book once you are already there as people tend to make their seatings 90 days out. So if you make a PS for one of these before you even leave for your trip, yes - prepare to plan your day around those seatings. Everything else, I'd plan earlier in the week once you're there or even just at some point during the day each day (depending on how busy a time of year you're there) once you have an idea where you'll be around meal time and what time you think you'll want to eat. Unless you are there during an extremely busy time of year you don't always need to have PS's very far in advance (except for Chef Mickey's and maybe one or 2 other's). We've called at 8am for breakfast seatings and 3 and 4 in the afternoon for seatings for dinner without having problems. And we've also done walk ups lots of times without problem too.

So make the PS's for your Must Do's and take the rest as it comes;)

I have my PS already to be booked for Novemeber, I just got the times that I usually eat dinner when I am home, it seems to work for us. I don't pig out on alot of junk food the afternoon of my priority seating that night. Hope this didn't confuse you. good luck on your plans
