Okay so for our trip to wdw we just booked our restaraunts. The food at all of them sounds absolutly amazing!!!

Restaraunts we're going to:
*the wave
*wolfgang puck cafe
*fifties prime time cafe
*jiko (animal kingdom lodge)
plus more but theyre all buffets

I would love some suggestions to what other people think are the best food options on the menus for these places!!! Note that im not afraid of trying new things and sushi (w/ raw fish) is one of my favorite foods (for those of you thinking kids wont eat it).

Thanks so much for the help!!!:goodvibes:):yay::banana:

Ok ok, first of all, I have to say from experience that there is such a thing as too many buffets.

Have you looked the the Wave's menu? We went, got seated, took a look at the menu and left. Can't remember specifics, just that it was unappealing.

Our must-do's are Wispering Canyon @ WL, Crystal Palace @ MK, and Sanaa @ AKV. Narcossees @ GF has the best dessert on property, IMHO: Almost Crusted Cheesecake. The Hoop Dee Doo Revue is also a fave.

The only one of those I've been to is Jiko, and it was amazing!

I tasted:
BBQ Chicken Flatbread
Taste of Africa - 3 Breads with 3 Dips
Maize Pudding with Chakalaka (a vegetable mix)
Ostrich with a Mushroom-Truffle sauce and Kamut
Lamb with Red Curry Sauce and Cherries
Pistachio Creme Brulee
Tarte Tatin
and The Jiko Trio - Flourles Chocolate Cake, Caramel Ice Cream, and Chocolate Mousse.

Everyting was excellent. My favorites were the Flatbread, Ostrich, and Maize Pudding.

We went to Wolfgang Puck Cafe in March and it was fantastic. I had the pasta, sister had the salmon, and mom had the crusted chicken. The crusted chicken was the ultimate dish. DELICIOUS!!!! Everything was great but the crusted chicken oh, my. :woohoo:
I have eaten at the Fifties Prime Time Cafe a couple of times. Can't really remember what I ate but it was good. I do remember the onion ring were very thin and very good! Remember the desserts were by far the best. Very traditional momma's kitchen food.

ok thank u all sooo much!!!

Plus for the person who posted stuff about jiko thats really awesome that they have a flourless chocolate cake. My sister and mother are both allergic to gluten so it's really nice that they'll be able to have something different for dessert than just a brownie!!!

Thanks everybody!!!:cool1:

I had the Asian Hoisin BBQ Ribs and Classic Carrot Cake at Wolfgang Puck Cafe last August and have already booked for this August. I would place my order now if they let you do it online.:rotfl2:

Only go to buffets if you are going for the characters . For the money there is better food elsewhere.
