My wife and I have been to WDW 3 times and are taking our 3 year old daughter for the 1st time the end of July, staying at POP.

Also traveling with us are my parents (early 60's), brother (31) and neice (10). I already have everything planned but I would love suggestions on places to take them that will really highlight the magic of Disneyworld.

I'm not talking about attractions as much as scenery, places to shop, etc.

I want them to leave there feeling like they saw something that even Las Vegas (my parents' usual vacation spot) cannot match.

Thanks!

I would sugggest you get a Disney Passporter. It's a wonderful guidebook/journal/scrapbook/keepsake, that has TONS of information about every resort, every park, every event at Disneyworld. Mine was SO useful. The book has a touring plan you could follow if you have kids or slower adults, and one for true park commandos. The passporter is written by a husband wife team and they have two kids. They give ratings for everything, including the kids ratings...toddler tips, kid tips and tween tips. It really is the most comprehensive FUN guidebook I've found and I've got them all! It's got park maps of each park with the author's "don't miss" locations highlighted. They've got best places to stand to view Illuminations and Wishes and parades of all sorts. There are also ratings on the Kids Clubs, how the author's daughter liked them, what she liked best and what she didn't like.

it's a wonderful book and it would give you an enormous amount of info and insight!!!

good luck!!!:thumbsup2

When we took my Dad and my Grandma, the highlight of the trip for them was touring the deluxe resorts - they loved the Wilderness Lodge and the WCC for dinner, just relaxing in the lobby and watching the electric water parade from the beach. The Polynesian was beautiful, and sitting on the beach on a swing watching Wishes was wonderful as well. Just the boat ride over to the Wilderness Lodge got them all excited. And touring Grand Floridian and the Polynesian by taking the monorail was fun for them as well - they weren't into the parks as much as taking in the scenery at the different resorts. Animal Kingdom Lodge was nice as well, and all of the resorts have wonderful restaurants that really let you soak in the atmosphere. Have a great trip!

I say take them to the Boardwalk at night. The atmosphere is fantastic. There is a lot to do. Shopping, dinner, games, ice cream, entertainment (magicians). It is definately a fun and very chill time. You can even rent a family bike and take it for a spin around the Boardwalk.
