Other than the obvious clothes, toiletries, etc. is there anything that we should bring for our stay that would make life easier while at WDW? We are staying at AKL for 7 night.
1) at
walmart they have 1 dollar rain ponchos - bring those unless you want to pay thru the nose for theme park ponchos - someone else said this so I have edited to include... they are right ... when everyone is buying a theme park poncho you can't tell people apart if you should get seperated. The walmart 1 dollar cheapos are see thru so it is easier to find your party... or your kids for that matter
2) fanny pack or small back pack - various types of people prefer one over the other. I like the fanny pack I have because it can hold a veritable ton of stuff and it has mega back support - also with fanny packs if there is some pick pocket behind you at a parade or some other function then it is harder to snag something out of your bag if it is in front of you. Mountian smith has some great bags - very expensive but if you are serious about saving your back and will use it for other vacations or outings then it is a good deal. They have many different kinds but here is the one I use

3) kleeenex or handy wipes for small back pack
4) suncreen obviously
5) extra film and or media cards for cameras. If you travel digital Disney can upload your pictures and burn CDs for 12 bucks I think ... but you have to leave your digital media card with them over night
6) blister pads - those flesh colored bandages for your feet
7) there is an aerosol foot powder that dramatically reduces the odds of getting blisters
8) sun glasses
9) A small mister - we have an "ocean mister" ... it is not a fan sprayer but but an actual very fine mist sprayer - but you won't find a plain fine mist mister at the parks you will find spray fans and they cost 15 bucks or more.
10) If you are really into WDW touring then some brita filter water bottles so you don't have to make as many soft drink breaks. Stuff some ice in those and wear them on your side and you are good to go.
11) Ziplock bags - there are rides you will get wet - if you have valuables you want them in something water proofed. I carry an 800 dollar camera in my bags. It is inside not one but two zip lock bags. I also carry my money and cash in a ziplock.
12) bring a change of clothes to the park and stuff them in the lockers at the front of the park. It can get pretty cool to downright cold at times in florida. We have extra dry clothes and some sweaters back in the locker.. they have come in handy way more than just once.
13) a bottle of scotch and some valium - hahahahaha just kidding
14) bug spray - and benedryl
15) NOT brand new walking shoes - bring reasonablt broken in fairly new walking shoes - I have special orthotics so I don't need them but some gels would be good too - remember you will be walking literally miles upon miles so taking care of your feet is of utmost importance
