My dad and I are planning a trip to WDW in either November or December. The weeks we are looking at are the week before Thanksgiving and the first full week in December. Any suggestions on when the better time to go would be as far as crowds? I know that week in December is Pop Warner week and we would be staying at Pop Century, but I don't know how much that affects crowds or that resort. Any help would be appreciated!:)

The week BEFORE Thanksgiving will be a little less crowded than the first full week of December.

Some other variables to put in to your decision:

Most Christmas decorations will be up and ready that week before, but there may be a few that aren't quite going yet. You will be able to see the castle lighting and Osborne Lights for that week.

You will not be able to see the Holiday Storytellers in Epcot (Santa or variation thereof in each country) or the Candlelight Processional until after Thanksgiving.

You will also have the taping of the Christmas parade at MK that first week of Dec which can make planning a little more difficult.

One more thing is weather. It seems like something happens the week of Thanksgiving. That first full week of Dec can be anywhere from 80's to even as low as 40's at night. I haven't seen that from people reporting back from the week before.

Thank you for the advice! I've been leaning toward the week before Thanksgiving, I might just go ahead and plan on that week. I'll be happy just to see the Osborne Lights and the castle lighting again. Thanks!

My wife and I used to go the week after Thanksgiving and it was great. All the crowds had left since school starts back the next week. All the Christmas decorations were up and the candlelight processional is something worth seeing. The Holiday Storytellers in Epcot is also very enjoyable. We really enjoyed hearing how other countries celebrate the season.

Just my opinion, I have never been the week before Thanksgiving. Maybe other will post to give you more input.
