Suggestions needed -

My husband just gave me a valentine card. How do I tell him, nicely, that I'm really and truly not interested?

*sigh* he just hasn't gotten it has he? Was it romantic/personal (which I am assuming) or just kind of a generic one? If it was romantic/personal, then you will have to reconvey to him that you are trying to move on with your life and think he should do the same. I'm sorry I don't have any great words of wisdom.

Serena sorry you have to deal with this. I would say that you do nothing...ie do not respond. He is trying to engage you in a conversation. Silence will say volumes.

Laurie, it was almost generic, but not quite. He gave me the card in front of Kelsea with a look of "please don't throw it at me".

I don't know what is wrong with him. I'm the same person that made his life miserable for years. So miserable he didn't want to come home and couldn't stand to be here, so miserable that instead of trying to work things out, he left.

MM, I can't be silent. He watches the girls a lot when I have to work.
He's trying to change, he watches the girls now when I can't find someone else, he actually gave that card, he doesn't treat me like a 3 yo anymore, etc. I'm sure the change is temporary. But even if it isn't. I just don't want that any more.
I don't care to hurt him, but I have to tell him we are not going to be anything more than friends.

The only thing that has changed with me since he left, is that I'm happy now.
