I need to make areservation for one evening for arrival the night after thanksgiving. It has to be out of the parks!!
we have eaten at 'Ohana 3x's (& would like another place)
I WAS going to reserve Whispering canyon, we have eaten there 3x & reallly like it, but wondering after the reviews , lately, if we should pass ( but then I suppose you really hear about the BAD reviews instead of happy ones, right? & only a handful of people are disgruntled & thousands go there :confused3 what to think?)

OK, we are a group of adults, love disney & interaction ( if I was IN a park I would choose a character meal,. OR 50's prime time or sci fi)

don't think anyone would attempt the diverse food at animal kingdom lodge. & we have to stay away from mainly seafood places.

please give your best choices & 'why'

thanks:worship: :thumbsup2

How about Chef Mickey's at the Contemporary? The character interaction there is fun and frenetic, gets you right into the Disney Spirit. If you want something a little more relaxing the Yachtsman Steak House at the Yacht Club is nice and the food is excellent.

My family did not like WCC, it got old after a short time. Not crazy about the food either.

How about trying something completely new and different? The Wave restaurant just opened a month ago in the Contemporary, it might be fun to give that a shot!

(Mind you, I don't know what the reviews have been for The Wave, I actually came here looking to see if I could find any!)

looked up the menu
& I thought blahhhhh...

nothing that looks interesting

Kona Cafe at the Poly is wonderful. I'm doing Boatwrights at the Port Orleans Riverside Resort for the first time this year...I've heard some good things about it as well.

YS is a little pricey. I forgot about the Kona. My family enjoys it there. Where are you staying? We had dinner at Shutters when we stayed at CBR. I had not planned it but my DGD was tired and we needed to leave EPCOT where dinner was scheduled. It was one of our best meals last October.

It has been a theme with me today, but HOB is a great place to eat I think. Totally under-talked about on the DIS.

Of course it will not "Feed your Disney Need" but, we like to go hang out on the porch and have a relaxed dinner. I've said it before, but it's worth repeating,

The Rosemary Cornbread will set you free!

We also like the jambalya (I'm sure I did not spell that right) and brickoven pizzas.

The other place we like that does not get mentioned much is Big River Grille on the Boardwalk. They have a cheese soup that I like as much a Le Celliers and really good BEER! :drinking1

I was going to suggest Raglan Road but I see you like it just as much as we do! We ate at House of Blues on our last trip and enjoyed the dinner very much. We had pizza and ceasar salad for appetizers and I had the Jambalaya (really spicy and really good :) ) and my husband and son had the ribs. Everything was great! Big portions and the ribs were fall off the bone yummy!
