Next July we (myself, wife, and son) will be returning to the Polynesian Concierge for a week’s vacation. For the first time we will have other members of our family joining us on the trip (2 of my sisters and 1 of my brothers all of whom are in their 20’s). I would love to have a welcome gift waiting for them in their room when they arrive, but I am at a complete loss on what it should be ----

So does anyone have any suggestions ???

Thanks in advance

Oooooh! I have an idea if you can get a CM to help you with it or if you are getting there before them... why not get some personalized ears? They're simple and cheap... I'm not sure if that is what you are looking for.

Or, you could make up a basket of things that they might need during their trip... sunscreen, gum, use your imagination. Maybe Disney themed items from the Disney Store Online.

Or, last of all, maybe contact the resort and see if they have a list of things that you could add to the room. I don't know if they do it, but I know that the cruise line has a 'special occations' list where you can add various gift items to your own or someone else's room! :earsgirl: I hope those might help :sunny:

I am also looking for a few gift ideas to leave around for my DH. We are staying at POP & I am wondering what they are able to do or help with there. We are going to celebrate my DH's college graduation & am looking for anything that would help this plan I have because as of right now I am clueless.

~thanks~

The IPO staff can definitely help you with your planning. You mentioned they were in their 20's, which might limit the type of gifts that they'd enjoy. Maybe you could do a personalized shirt for everyone in your group. They have them on a few websites or you can download Disney clipart and fonts and create your own masterpiece. You can send them down ahead of time to the Poly and the staff will place them in the room for you. Oh, is the rest of your group staying concierge also? If not, they probably won't be able to put the gift in the room prior to them arriving, but they can deliver it instead shortly after they check-in. The girls might like Princess tiara's and possibly a baseball cap for your brother. I always take a look at the online Disney stores like www.laughingplacestore.com for ideas. You can then call down to Disney and have them pick up the same exact item.

There are also specialty food items, like a welcome cake or chocolate creation. You can talk to the folks in private dining to arrange something like this. Concierge can help you, but in this case, it's easier not having to go through someone in the middle. Private dining can describe what they have to offer.
