Any suggestions for restaurants in any of the monorail resorts where kids aged 4-6 would not seem/look out of place? My kids are not the type to make a ton of noise, but I'm more concerned that if it takes a while for the adult meals to be made and eaten, that they will get restless once they finish their meals.

We've already tried O'Hana's, Chef Mickey's and Kona Cafe, and would like to try something new if possible. I'm also wondering if Narcosee's, Citrico's or California Grill are too formal to have younger kids there.

We would be looking for a early supper, around a 4:45-5:15 start time if that would make affect your suggestion at all (e.g. eating at a time of fireworks would not be important for us)

I was going to suggest 1900, too. I love that place!

At that hour, you'd be fine at the other spots you mentioned (all signature) but they aren't as kid friendly as the other places you've been and 1900 Park Fare.

1900 Park Fare is a character meal served at the Grand Floridian. It has received pretty good reviews, with only a small percentage being negative. Here is the link to the menu: http://www.wdwinfo.com/wdwinfo/dining/diningdetail.cfm?Restaurant.ID=28

If you and/or your kids don't care for character meals, give the Grand Floridian Cafe a try; it has received almost all positive reviews, and has a good selection of food for people of any age. :)

Hope that helps,

I would not recommend taking restless young children to Narcoosees, Citricos or California Grill.

Children who are okay sitting in restaurants for the long haul would be fine. If the kids are the type who must get up and run around, I would choose Narcoosees. You could take them outside there if necessary. California Grill has noplace to go.

Absolutely not. We took our 5yo/6yo to Narcoossee's. He loved it and there were lots of other children there. Food is excellent, service was the best we experienced. Treat yourself to an outstanding meal experience, go to Narcoossee's. There is a deck just off the restaurant, wonderful place for "timeout" or "moment" should one be needed. It overlooks the Seven Seas lagoon.

Finally, it can be fun for the kids to "dress up". My nephew was excited to wear a short sleeved button down, khaki shorts and his new white sneakers to dinner, so so cute!

I also vote Narcoosees. With all of the windows and being able to see the lagoon and the boats, it's a great place for adults to have some good food while giving the younger diners something interesting to see. There are a lot of families dining here and it's not stuffy or the type of place where you feel you need to whisper.

As long as your children can behave (not scream, cry, run around, bother other diners) they will be welcome pretty much anywhere (exceptions being Victoria and Alberts and Bistro de Paris). You know your children and whether they/you would be able to enjoy a longer meal or not. If they can then Narcoosees and Cali Grill are great. If not - then I would consider 1900 Park Faire, The Grand Floridian Cafe or a short boat ride to Whispering Canyons. I would think the kids would like these last restaurant better
