I have an anniversary coming up on 8/19. That night my husband and I (with the kids) would like to have a nice dinner. We will be staying at the BCv that night. Any suggestions for us? We will not have park tickets for that day.

What about Yachtsman? If your kids can sit for a longer meal (1.5 hours or so), then I think that would be a great choice! Esp since you are close at BCV. It's a more casual environment as well, so you might feel more comfortable there with the kids.

CA Grill would also be a good choice, if you want to travel over there. Plus you can see the fireworks =)

We have spent our last 2 anniversaries ( 9 & 10) at Yachtsman Steakhouse and both times have had an amazing meal. We did notice there were plenty of kids there so I wouldnt hesitate to bring them if you want.

The first time we were given a plate of cookies and chocolates that said Happy Anniversary on them. Just last week we were again given the plate of cookies, plus they gave me a beautiful long stem red rose. That was a very nice touch!

I would say Flying Fish. Wonderful seafood, one of the best steaks on disney property, nice atmosphere and the kids are more than welcome.

We were at Yachtsman not that long ago..and it was the worst meal we have ever had on disney property. Horrible service as well.

Wow....I highly recommend both the Yatchsman and Flying Fish....If you are a "meats and potatoe" kinda people then go have a LATE dinner (like 9:30) at Yatchsman. At the time of night, people are filtering out and service is more "consistant". If you are a real Seafood lover, Flying Fish then. Flying Fish does have a good NY Strip Steak too, but is mostly a seafood type place. If you decide to go for FF, go early....like at 6. Ask to be sat at the Chef's Counter, preferablely the side between the kitchen and the bar (there are only 2 seats there). You can have interactions with the Chefs and they tend to give you samples of things you are not eating.

Happy Anniversary!

We always go to California Grill for our anniversary - last year they brought us out a special cake with a special etched chocolate that read Happy Anniversary...it was delicious!

I asked DH because we'll be celebrating our anniversary there, and he voted for B&C! Does that qualify as a nice dinner?

In my book a nice dinner is anywhere you are with someone you love.

Your post made me laugh. I have been married twice and each time on the way to the honeymoon destination both grooms pulled into a McDonalds on our wedding day. (Could this be a sign?) Can you imagine the car all decorated with Just Married and here we sit at McDonalds! So in my opinion ANY dinner in WDW would be wonderful!

My husband is a restaurant snob, I mentioned B&C to him, and he twisted his face in a weird way. I think a big steak is in order. Maybe the california grill, I am going to check the (gulp!) prices! Thanks for all the suggestions, keep them coming.

I hear the steaks at the Concourse inside the Contemporary are pretty good too. What about the Luau?

My husband and I ate here on our honeymood. We went to both Disney and Universal, but we spent the majority of our time at Disney. We loved Cali Grille, Hollywood Brown Derby, Narcoosee's, but hands down this was THE MOST ROMANTIC restaurant. We so enjoyed walking around and hotel and adiring the very Italian atmosphere. The dinner was so much more authentic then our experience at the Disney Italy restaurant. We truly felt like we were at Portofino Bay in Italy. The resort is just gorgeous! The restaurant was are only affordable way to enjoy visiting the resort, but we were really thrilled with our dinner and dining experience. Give it a tr--you won't be disappointed!

The colorful festivals celebrated in the Italian countryside are the backdrop for Trattoria del Porto. Families will enjoy the boisterous, friendly service, diverse regional offerings, delicious antipasti, and tempting desserts. Character dining available on select evenings.

Call 407/503-DINE for reservations at Mama Della’s or Trattoria del Porto!
