Suggestions for palm size digital under $500?

I'm looking for an easy camera to use. I'm not likely to learn a lot of specialized features. I mainly want something that's easy to stick in my pocket or purse, good with indoor and outdoor pictures, and good with action shots. It would be good if the buttons/controls were pretty easy to use and not too tiny.

I've looked at different reviews, but there's a lot out there. My husband has a Canon S2IS that he really likes, but I want something that's easier to carry around (mainly in my pocket).
