Anybody have any suggestions where we can go for one nice, romantic dinner at WDW? One night during our trip, I would like to go try a really nice restaurant (mid-price range -- max of $60 for two -- no booze). DH doesn't like fish or anything too spicy. I'm not picky at all. I'll eat almost anything that doesn't try to eat me first. What do you all recommend?

The only real restaurants we've eaten at was the "Lady and the Tramp" one in the MK for breakfast (it's kind of a tradition with us), and we always go to either the Biergarten or Alfredo's in EPCOT for lunch, so that gives you an idea of what we like.

Any suggestions?

what about le cellier in canada? or artist point at wilderness lodge. over at animal kingdom lodge jiko serves as excellent beef filet on macaroni and cheese. my husband is not a fan of mac and cheese and he loves this! hollywood brown derby is nice. those are just a few i could think of. happy eating! :p

Haven't been there myself, but everyone has raved about California Grill in the Contemporary Resort.
Try for a table with the view of the fireworks.

Limiting yourself to $60 for two people, really limits your options. Most of the "nicer" WDW restaurants have most of their entrees priced around $25 - $30, the aformentioned Jiko, Artist Point, California Grill and Le Cellier included. Basically blowing your budget out of the water, before a soft drink, appetizers, dessert, tax and tip. If you truly want to stay within your $60 dollar budget, I'd recommend Kona Cafe. Not very romantic but the food is very good, and pretty reasonable considering you're at WDW. If you really want to eat at one of the "nicer" and more romantic spots at WDW, consider raising your budget. Also, I do have a little bad news for you, they no longer serve breakfast at Tony's Town Square (the Lady and the Tramp restaurant) only lunch and dinner. Dinner there would also be reasonable (though not all that tasty IMO) and in your budget if you truly enjoy eating there.

I'd try Rose and Crown. Most of the "nice restaurants" are going to be tough to do at $60. I think you'd make it at Olivia's at OKW, too.

Marrakkesh would be fun....or the restaraunt in Mexico is very romantic.

I was thinking Rose and Crown, too. Good, simple food and you can try for an outside table to see Illuminations!

Thanks everyone for your suggestions. I got a lot of ideas. It gave me an idea of price range too -- here in the Midwest you can get a REALLY nice dinner for $60.

I'll have to run these by DH and see what he thinks.

Thanks again for responding!:)

If you are not doing alcohol and you are not huge eaters, you could easily do CG for $60 or just a tad more.

Try sharing an appetizer, a moderate main course, and a dessert between the 2 of you, and you should be fine.

I recall our last visit there, DH and I had the works (1st and main course and dessert plus drinks for each of us), and we were stuffed. The couple at the next table over did what I described above, were there for the same amount of time enjoying the fireworks, and didn't seem nearly as full (or broke!) at the end of the meal.

Have a great time!

I would also recommend splitting some courses. For example, my DH and I went to Califoria Grill and split the mussels appetizer, had the sushi sampler, split the soft shelled crabs (a special that night) and then split a dessert. We were stuffed and the server was very nice about bring an extra plate each time. Though the CA. Grill may not be your taste, I would also recommend Citricos at the GF, Jiko at the AKL, and Artist Point at WL. All of these are very romantic. You can check out the menus on wdwig.com and get a really good idea of what kind of food is served and the prices. Have a good time!;)

How about Spoodles. You can get in and out of there for $60 without feeling like you have to order the cheapest thing on the menu. It isn't "romantic" in that it has more of a casual feel to it, but you can do casual romantic.

If you like sushi, you could get in and out of the Matsunoma Lounge for $60 for two if you don't drink alcohol. Not a lot of kids there, a view of the World Showcase.

Including tax and tip I think you're really limiting yourselves at the CG. We've only once gotten out of there for under $100--I wasn't feeling well and had no alcohol and an inexpensive entree, DH only had an entree and one beer, no appetizers or desserts. And even that came to a little over $60 with tax and tip.

There's no way you're getting out of Citrico's for $60, and like teh CG, Jiko and Artists Point would be beyond tight.

I'd suggest the Kona Cafe at the Poly. GREAT food, excellent service. Spoodles and the Concourse Steakhouse would be other options in your price range.
